2002 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am WS6

This 2002 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am WS6 is a garage-kept convertible powered by a 5.7-liter LS1 V8 coupled with a 4-speed automatic transmission. After rolling off the assembly line in Quebec, Canada, the car spent time in Michigan, Illinois, Tennessee, and finally its current home in Alabama. This 100% unmodified car has been owned by the seller for about three months. The WS6 package equipment includes performance front and rear springs, stiffer front and rear shocks, harder bushings, a 32 mm front sway bar, a 19 mm rear sway bar, a low-restriction exhaust system, a power steering cooler, cruise control, air conditioning, power windows, and power door locks. The car has 48K miles and is now offered with a CARFAX report and a clear Alabama title in the seller’s name.

Finished in silver with a black interior, convertible top, and convertible top boot, this Trans Am features WS6 badging on the rear, a rear spoiler with integrated brake light, and Trans Am badging on the doors and rear end.  The front of the car includes the signature Trans Am ram air hood, popup headlamps, and fog lamps. The seller describes the overall condition of the car as beautiful.

Factory 17” 5-spoke aluminum wheels are wrapped in Uniroyal Tiger Paw tires. The WS6 package has also equipped the car with performance front and rear springs, stiffer front, and rear shocks, harder bushings, a 32 mm front sway bar, and a 19 mm rear sway bar.

The interior is outfitted with leather seats in excellent condition with no cracks or tears. The car is also equipped with power windows, power door locks, cruise control, air conditioning, driver and passenger-side airbags, and an AM/FM stereo with a CD player. The automatic transmission is controlled via the shifter mounted in the center console.

Behind the steering wheel are analog gauges including the speedometer, tachometer, voltage, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level.  The digital odometer shows 49K miles, and the seller reports they added roughly 120 of these miles.

The 5.7-liter LS1 V8 is original to the car. Power is directed to the rear wheels through a 4-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. With the WS6 package, the car is also equipped with a low-restriction exhaust system resulting in a factory rating of 325 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque. The seller reports the car received an oil change in July of 2020.

The car’s WS6 package is documented in the Service Parts Identification sticker located on the door jamb of the driver side door, car cover and some service records will go with the car.
