Vehicle Story

This restored 1931 Ford Model A Roadster is powered by a 201ci inline flathead 4-cyilnder engine backed by a 3-speed manual transmission. Features include rumble seat, luggage rack, painted wire wheels, white wall tires, accent striping, mechanical drum brakes, and dual cowl lamps. This rust free black 1931 Model A Roadster with brown interior is available now with a clear title from the seller.

The body is refinished in black with black fenders and has all the factory chrome and stainless trim, emblems, and handles in place. A chrome original bumper is mounted below an original headlight bar and chrome grill with grill guard. In the rear, a chrome bumper is mounted below an accessory luggage rack and dual taillights. Dual cowl lamps have been installed and a driver’s mirror is mounted to the original chrome windshield with wind wings. A vacuum operated windshield wiper is mounted on the driver’s side of the windshield frame. Additional photos can be found in the carousel to the right.

A set of 6 correct 19”x3” wheels are wrapped with vintage tread patterned bias ply wide whitewall 19” tires. Dual side mount spare tires have chrome mounting rings. Chrome Ford logo hubcaps and lug nuts are mounted in the center of the wheel.

Brown vinyl covers an original bench seat with the material carrying over to the cowl panels, door panels, and quarter panel inserts. Brown floor mat is covering the foot well area of the cabin. The original door latch handles are chrome. The convertible roof is tan cloth.

The original steel dashboard is gloss black with apple green pinstripe accent. The original silver gauge panel is home to a speedometer with a 5-place odometer showing 01428, amp gauge, fuel level gauge, and keyed coil switch. Under the dash, on the right side, the carburetor air fuel mixture knob can be found. An original steering column with spark advance and throttle control levers is topped with a black 4-spoke steering wheel. The headlight switch is located in the center of the steering wheel as well as the horn button. Conventional control pedals along with a starter button can be found on the floor at the bottom of the cowl. The manual shift lever and hand brake are mounted on the floor ahead of the seat.

A 201ci inline flathead Ford 4-cylinder engine is backed by a 3-speed manual transmission. An original 6-volt coil and ignition system, cast iron exhaust manifolds, and generator complete the engine. The radiator is mounted in a chrome shell with a stone guard and is cooled by a mechanical fan. The seller cannot confirm whether the engine is original to the vehicle.

The stock restored 1931 Model A front and rear suspension and frame are refinished in matte black and include semi-elliptical rear leaf springs, spiral bevel differential, and mechanical drum brakes.
