This 1969 Ford Mustang convertible was purchased by the seller in 1989 and subsequently stripped and repainted in its original shade of Silver Jade. The exterior features a chrome-ringed grille with pony badges and round outboard lights, a hood with a center bulge, a black tonneau cover for the convertible top, simulated vents on the rear fenders, and whitewall tires. According to the seller, the interior is original. The 302ci V8 is original to the car and features a new radiator. Located in Buffalo, New York, this Mustang droptop is available now with its owner's manual and original dealer invoice.
Ford altered the styling of the Mustang for the 1969 model year by changing the front lighting, lowering the roof, and leaning the windshield back. It gave fastbacks faux side scoops and a spoiler tail; coupes and convertibles received simulated vents on their rear fenders. In 1989, this particular Mustang convertible was stripped down and repainted in its original shade of Silver Jade. It features quad front lights, a pair of pony badges inside its chrome-ringed grille, a hood with a bulge running down its center, a mirror on the driver's side door, and A black tonneau cover sits over the storage compartment for the folded convertible top with rear window glass.
The car is equipped with power steering and manual brakes, and it rides on 14" wheels with wheel covers wrapped in whitewall tires. As the photo gallery to the right shows, there is a dent in the front passenger's-side wheel cover and the convertible top has a frayed edge on the driver's side.
The reportedly original interior is furnished with black vinyl front bucket and rear bench seating, a black dashboard, black door panels with manual window cranks, and aftermarket green floor mats with green piping. Repairs to the driver's seat and damaged carpeting near the driver's-side door sill are visible in the photo gallery. Equipment includes a 2-spoke steering wheel, a console-mounted T-handle shifter, and a non-functional AM/FM/Cassette radio.
The dashboard houses instrumentation that includes a 120-mph speedometer and gauges for the alternator, fuel level, coolant temperature, and oil pressure.
According to the seller, the 302ci V8 is original to the car and is equipped with a new radiator. It routes its output through an automatic transmission and the rear wheels. The seller reports no known mechanical issues.
Per the seller, there is no rust on the car. Pictures of its underbody are included in the photo gallery.
This Mustang has experienced "no winters since 89," according to the seller, and it was recently inspected. The original dealer invoice and owner's manual will be included with the sale.

Car starts and runs fine. No warranty, just my opinion. Power steering and manual brakes passed inspection. Probably could use a tune up. It's a nice daily driver.
hello, do you have any videos? Cold start or running or both please? if not, are you warranting the car starts easily, no smoke and no running issues? Brakes and power steering are good? thank you
No foil tape. Solid metal replaced much of underbody in 89.
No to foil tape . I don't know what that is. There was a lot of underbody replacement in 89. Solid metal.
My apologies. No dent. What I was looking at near the top of the battery appear consistent across all mustangs. Are the wheel wells patched with foil tape or something similar where they typically wear through on mustangs from the brakes on the other side?
What Dent? I don't know how the hubcap was dented.
Car has power steering, but not power brakes. Guages work, but bulbs have dimmed and need to b replaced. Battery tray was replaced and strengthened.
