This 1983 Volkswagen Vanagon Westfalia Campmobile is a multi-purpose recreational vehicle powered by a rebuilt air-cooled 2.0-liter flat-4 paired with a replacement 4-speed manual transaxle. Versatile conveniences include a pop-up rooftop and full camp-ready interior amenities such as a table, a convertible bed, cabinetry, a refrigerator, and a stovetop. Finished in Pastel White over an original striped cloth interior with brown carpeting, this Vanagon is now offered with a CARFAX report, build documentation, and a clear Oregon title in the seller’s name.
This Vanagon has a rust-free body that is painted Pastel White and features a rear-hinged pop-up top with tan canvas sides, offering additional interior space for camping and recreation purposes. Configured as a three-door vehicle with a single door at the driver side and a front door and a slider at the passenger side, this Campmobile is reported to retain its largely original finishes both inside and out that are in good condition. The front and rear bumpers are chrome-finished with black moldings and end caps, and the exterior features utility hook-ups.
Silver-finished aluminum wheels are mounted to newer tires.
The rear cabin area is accessed via a passenger side sliding door and the interior is fitted with original striped cloth upholstery in good condition, offset by brown materials for the door panels, dash, and carpeting. In addition to the dual bucket seats up front, the interior offers a convertible bed, a stove top, a tabletop, a refrigerator, storage cabinets, and additional utility features. The appliances are operational per the seller with exception of the water pump. Additional amenities include a heater and defroster, a radio, and side curtains for window coverage and privacy. The far rear of the vehicle is open and uncarpeted for storage and additional cargo needs.
Instrumentation includes an 85-mph speedometer, a clock, a fuel gauge, and additional warning lights for other vehicle system. The six-digit mechanical odometer reads 140k miles, which the seller states is a true reading.
The rear-mounted 2.0-liter air-cooled flat-four was rebuilt within the last 40k miles and had a factory rating of 67 horsepower when new. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a replacement floor-shifted 4-speed manual transaxle.
The sale includes build documentation.
