This 1978 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 has a rust-free Arizona body, according to its current owner. It was overhauled and given new paint, a new interior, and a new 350ci V8 that sends its power to the road through a new automatic transmission and new tires. Located in Phoenix, Arizona, it's available now with a clear title.
For the 1978 model year, Chevrolet gave the Camaro body-color bumpers and wider taillights with amber turn signals. This particular Z/28 model benefits from new copper paint complemented with new coordinating 5-spoke wheels that sit inside of new BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. The front end features black upper and lower grilles, inboard square high beams, and outboard round headlights.
Orange and red stripes start at the front of the hood and flare out to surround the cosmetic hood scoop. Another pair of red and orange stripes accent the front lip and continue along the bottom of the vented front fenders and doors before ending in black letters that spell out Z/28. A final pair of red and orange stripes run under the rear spoiler and feature Z/28 in black lettering in the middle.
Like the exterior, the cabin of this Camaro benefited from an overhaul that furnished it with a new interior that features tan carpeting, bucket seats in the front and rear, and dashboard. Equipment includes a 3-spoke steering wheel with a black rim, shoulder belts, an aftermarket JVC stereo head unit, an aftermarket backup camera that displays its feed in the rearview mirror's screen, and air conditioning that blows ice cold, according to the seller.
The dashboard is equipped with new aftermarket white-faced instrumentation that includes a 160-mph speedometer, 8K-rpm tachometer, and gauges for the fuel level, voltage, temperature, and oil pressure. An aftermarket display below the JVC head unit shows readouts from the Holley Sniper EFI system.
Like the paint and interior, this 1978 Camaro Z/28's 350ci V8 is new, according to the current owner. As the pictures in the photo gallery show, it's equipped with Chevrolet-branded chrome valve covers and a red air cleaner with a chrome trim ring. The engine transmits its power to the road through a new automatic transmission connected to a console-mounted shift lever.
The photo gallery also contains pictures of this Camaro's underbody, including its yellow aftermarket traction bars.
