1987 GMC 1/2 Ton Pickup

This 1987 GMC R1500 Sierra single cab short bed pickup is available at auction with odometer mileage at 71,210 miles and comes equipped with a number of desirable options in detailed condition. Power is sent to the rear wheels by a recently replaced 350ci small-block V8 in conjunction with an automatic transmission and options include air conditioning as well as power steering, brakes, windows and locks. Located in Phoenix, Arizona, the truck is offered with a clear CARFAX report and a clean Arizona title in the seller's name. 

Finished in black, the square body exterior is GMC's longest ever continuation in a single body styling language lasting from 1973 to 1991. This example features a spray-on bed liner, tinted windows, an aftermarket 4-headlight grille, vent windows and a mixture of chrome and stainless bumpers, mirrors and trim pieces. The stance is slightly lowered and sits level and the tailgate is finished with a white stripe labeled with factory GMC badging. 

Wheels are a set of aftermarket silver 10-spoke units with chrome hub caps fitted in low-profile blackwalled Toyo rubber. Power steering and braking systems are equipped as standard with front discs and rear drums while the suspension is complete with a leaf-sprung solid rear axle and a coil-sprung independent front end. 

The interior is clean and detailed and outfitted in black and gray Sierra Classic trim throughout with cloth upholstery over bench seating, black carpeting and door panels to match. Power windows and locks are optioned along with working heat and air conditioning systems and an AM/FM stereo. 

The 5-digit odometer has rolled over 71,210 miles on the chassis, however, mileage driven on the replacement drivetrain is currently unknown. Additional instrumentation can be found behind the Grant GT 3-spoke steering wheel and includes an 85-mph speedometer mounted next to the fuel gauge and four other dials for oil pressure, battery voltage, coolant temperature and an analog clock. 

Power is provided by a newer 350ci small-block V8 complete with a Turbo-350 automatic transmission, factory throttle body fuel injection and aftermarket headers, air cleaner, and chrome center bolt valve covers. Miles driven on the refreshed drivetrain is unknown but the installation appears to be consistent with factory fit and finish and no notable issues have been reported by the seller. 

A single exhaust system can be found running the length of the underside along with the aforementioned suspension components and additional images of the undercarriage have been made available for viewing the photo carousel. 

The selling dealer notes that there is a $295 doc fee in addition to the purchase price.
