Vehicle Story

This 2008 Ferrari 430 Scuderia mid-engined exotic has been driven 27,718 miles since new and is powered by a quad-cam 4.3-liter V8 paired with a 6-speed automated manual F1-style gearbox. This Scuderia was assembled in Modena, Italy and initially sold in Menlo Park, California by Ferrari Silicon Valley. A subsequent relocation took it to to Colorado in 2012, then the vehicle returned to California two years later where it has resided since. As a lightweight counterpart to the traditional F430, the Scuderia chassis engineering employed the use of carbon fiber, titanium, and other lightweight materials in the interest of optimal performance, and the vehicle carried an original MSRP in excess of $300,000. Finished in Grigio Medio with accent striping over a charcoal Bata and alcantara two-tone interior, this 430 is now offered with books, keys, tools, a clean CARFAX report, and a clear California title in the seller’s name.

The 430 Scuderia two-door supercar was introduced as a successor to the 360 Challenge Stradale, first shown at the 2007 Frankfurt Auto Show as a track-focused variant of the F430. The chassis was engineered to weigh about 200 pounds lighter than its counterpart by using a carbon fiber rear diffuser, titanium suspension components, a Lexan rear window, a different front valance, and additional weight-savings components. This 430 is painted Grigio Medio (791 - Medium Gray) with a dual black-outlined accent stripes on the upper panels. Additional exterior features include xenon headlights, mesh bumper inserts, and a tuned free-flow exhaust system with dual outlets above the rear diffuser.

Black-finished 19” wheels are wrapped in Michelin 235/35 tires up front and 285/35 in the rear. Stopping power comes from four-wheel carbon ceramic cross-drilled disc brakes with yellow-finished calipers, and the sport-tuned suspension consists of factory coilovers.

The two-seat interior is outfitted with carbon fiber buckets wearing two-tone neutral-colored Bata and alcantara upholstery, special contrast stitching, and highlighted Ferrari logos in the upper back portions. The dash is similarly upholstered, and the cabin is accented in carbon fiber materials throughout. Conveniences include automatic climate control, power accessories, a newer Alpine AM/FM/CD audio system, aluminum pedals, and a floor-mounted Handley fire extinguisher.

Instrumentation is framed by a leather-trimmed steering wheel with push-button start and includes a predominant yellow-faced 10k-rpm tachometer, a 220-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and oil temperature. The digital odometer reads 27,718 miles, which the seller states is a true reading that is corroborated by the CARFAX report.

The mid-mounted 4.3-liter quad-cam V8 is equipped with dry sump lubrication, an 11.9:1 compression ratio and a flat-plane crankshaft. This powerplant was factory rated at 503 horsepower and 347 lb-ft of torque when new. The CARFAX shows dealership service history at various points throughout the life of the vehicle, and power is fed to the rear wheels via a 6-speed F1 automated-manual gearbox and an electronically-controlled limited-slip differential.

The CARFAX report describes the vehicle’s history as being free of accidents or damage, and states that the car passed a California emissions test in August 2020. The sale includes books, two keys, and tools. This vehicle carried an original MSRP of $306,177 when new.

Hello - we do not have the original window sticker. I’ll work on those photos but be advised we are closed until Monday so I may not be able to post them before the auction ends. I do not have records or knowledge of the water to oil cooler being replaced
