This 2000 Ford Mustang coupe is a highly modified and tuned example featuring a race-prepped twin-turbo 5.4L Cobra R V8 powerplant paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. Additions consist of performance suspension components, aftermarket and OEM Cobra R bodywork, a Borla dual exhaust, and more. Features include power steering, power disc brakes, power windows and locks, and heat. The car is now offered with a CARFAX report and a clear Idaho title in the seller's name.
Finished in Performance Red (cc: ES/M6729), the car's exterior features an off-center white racing stripe, heat extractors, a Carters Customs C2 billet rear diffuser, smoked headlamps, and a Cobra R fiberglass hood, white rocker vinyl, rear wing. and front splitter. Window tinting has been applied to all glass and the seller reports that there are no dents or notable scratches in the finish.
Power steering and power disc brakes are equipped, as are Powerstop carbon pads, powder coated calipers, and drilled and slotted rotors on all four corners. Cobra R wheels are wrapped in a set of Toyo drag radials and the chassis has been upgraded with adjustable lower control arms from Maximum Motorsports, a 3-link rear suspension kit, a Panhard bar, and Maximum Motorsports chassis length torque arm and subframe. Recent maintenance items include new sway bar end links, shocks, and stainless braided fuel lines for the aftermarket fuel system.
The interior is outfitted in gray and black throughout with black cloth upholstery covering the front sport bucket seats and rear bench over matching carpeting. Equipment includes the factory stereo system, power windows and locks, and heat. The car does not have air conditioning, but an 8-point roll cage powder coated in red will be included with the sale.
Factory instrumentation, which is found behind the stock steering wheel, consists of a 160-mph speedometer and 8k-rpm tachometer. Additional aftermarket gauges have been fitted in the A-pillar with readouts for oil pressure, boost, and air/fuel ratio.
Power comes from a race-ready twin-turbocharged 5.4L 2003 Cobra-sourced V8 built by Modular Mustang Racing bolted to a Tremec TKO 5-speed manual transmission which is said to produce 700-800hp at the rear wheels with the capability to make over 1,000hp on E85 fuel. The engine sits in an aftermarket tubular K-member complete with powder coated Mach 1 valve covers and is cooled by a Mishimoto 14-core radiator with a matching fan shroud.
