Vehicle Story

This 1967 Chevrolet Camaro convertible is the recipient of an extensive cosmetic and mechanical refurbishment and is powered by a 468ci V8 4-bolt main mated to a 700R4 automatic with overdrive and a 9" positraction rear end. The exterior features new sheet metal covered with custom red paint and dual black stripes, a chin spoiler, a mini-tubbed rear end, 15" Vision wheels wrapped in staggered-width BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires, and a new functional convertible top with rear window. A black interior is furnished with new carpeting and padding, seats, seat belts, door panels, and more. Other specifics include but are not limited to a Holley Double Pumper carburetor, an aluminum dual-plane intake, aluminum heads, roller rockers, ceramic headers, stainless exhaust with MagnaFlow mufflers, and a custom suspension. This first-generation Camaro is offered with a clear Idaho title in the seller's name.

The Chevrolet Camaro debuted as a 1967 model and was available in coupe and convertible body styles. This particular droptop wears new sheet metal covered in custom red paint and a pair of black stripes down the center. Its front end features round headlights and a black grille set above a chrome bumper and front chin spoiler. Brightwork lines the fenders, which arch over 15"X7" Vision Wheels wearing 215/60 BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires in the front and a pair of 15"X8" wheels wrapped in 255/60 rubber in the mini-tubbed rear. Handling is managed by new disc brakes with slotted and drilled rotors and a new power steering pump.

When stored, the new convertible top with rear window is protected by a new black boot, and a new spoiler tops the trunk lid. A chrome rear bumper spans the width of the vehicle's rear end below a pair of chrome-framed horizontal taillights and above new dual 3" stainless steel exhaust tips.

According to the seller, the interior consists of a new wiring kit, floors, mass back insulation, padding, carpet, custom floor mats, seats with new springs, foam, covers, and belts, door panels and armrests, and a removable center console. Other items include Blue LED ambient lighting, a new rearview mirror and sun visors, a custom 3-spoke wood steering wheel fitted to an ididit tilt steering column, and fresh dash pad. The car is also equipped with new switches, a CD player/radio with a trunk-mounted Blaupunkt amplifier, and a Vintage Air heater/defroster system.

Instrumentation comes in the form of a bank of Dolphin gauges with readouts for speed, revs, fuel, and more. The seller notes there is a hidden anti-theft system inside the car. True mileage is unknown.

The cowl hood covers a solid-lifter cam 468ci V8 equipped with an aluminum dual-plane intake, 4-bolt main, aluminum heads, roller rockers, and cast aluminum valve covers, a 750-cfm Holley Double Pumper carburetor with a manual choke cable mounted under the dashboard, and an air cleaner. The engine breathes through a set of Sanderson ceramic-coated headers with crossover pipe, MagnaFlow mufflers, and 3" stainless steel exhaust finishers. New auxiliary hardware includes the power steering pump and cooler, 100-amp alternator, and water pump pulley. A 700R4 automatic with overdrive and stall converter paired with a B&M shifter helps put the big block's power to the road.

Up front is a 1.125" sway bar, tubular A-arms, and cast aluminum transmission pan, while a 9" positraction rear end with 3.90:1 gears is in the rear. Suspension features include a custom ladder bar setup, coil-overs at all four corners, and Global West subframe connectors. Per the seller, a light application of black rubberized coating has been applied to the leading edges of the steering linkage and some other areas.

Only 1,870 miles have been added since completion of the build and, according to the seller, the car has only been driven on warm, dry days and is always covered and stored in a climate-controlled garage. Two videos are available for viewing below.

Seller

As the seller I wish to be clear this 1967 Camaro Convertible had only 875 miles on it from the restoration completion when I received it. Between then and now we have added an additional (approximate) 1,000 miles. Making a total of around 1,875.00 miles on the restoration. We are Classic Car Show enthusiasts and during the time we have owned it took First Place in a Pharaohs Classic Car Show event.
