Vehicle Story

This 1972 Chevrolet Corvette has been with the seller for approximately two years and is powered by a 383ci V8 stroker engine paired with the original 3-speed automatic transmission. It features the original paint and interior with air conditioning, and the blue exterior is complemented with chrome front and rear bumpers, Stingray badges, and a rear luggage rack. A 3-owner vehicle from new, this C3 is garage kept, only driven on Sundays, and offered with a clear Florida title in the seller's name.

Known as “America’s Sports Car”, the Corvette has been produced by Chevrolet since 1953 and is currently in its eighth generation. This 1972 C3 was assembled in GM's St. Louis, Missouri factory and is reported to wear its original blue paint and retain its last-of-the-line chrome bumpers, side-fender grilles, removable rear window, and vacuum-actuated windshield wiper door. The car is also fitted with a deck lid-mounted luggage rack.

Photos show that the car rides on Hoosier tires mounted on 15-inch chrome Rallye wheels.

It features the original blue interior with vinyl bucket seats and a center console. Amenities include air conditioning, factory AM/FM radio and clock mounted in the dashboard, and a three-spoke Corvette steering wheel with a black aftermarket Chevrolet-branded cover. Photos show some wear on the driver's seat and door cards.

Mounted in the blue dashboard is a 160-mph speedometer with a five-digit odometer that indicates 4,404 miles, but the vehicle’s true mileage is unknown. Next to the speedometer is a 7k-rpm tachometer. A clock and oil pressure, battery, water temperature, and fuel gauges are located above the radio. The seller states the windshield wipers and lights operate but notes that one of the headlights comes up slowly.

Under the hood is a 383ci V8 stroker engine paired with a starter replaced under previous ownership and the original console-shifted 3-speed Turbo Hydra-Matic automatic transmission. The engine features red valve covers and a polished air cleaner assembly. According to the seller, the engine runs strong with no smoke, and that the oil and other fluids have been changed.

@Momen – I just hope there’s not too much rust ...

Yeah, I'd be checking that birdcage first thing.

@Momen – what's the condition of the engine, dose the car heat up easily ? Dose it start from the first key turn or dose it need a while ? Its a classic car I don't expect it to be perfect, but I do want an honest review ...

I'm not sure if I answered this previously, but the engine starts easily and idles smoothly. There is no smoke on start-up. Apologies for the tardy reply.

Your supposed to paint the engine when it's out of the car.
