Under the vented transparent engine cover is Chevrolet's naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V8 equipped with the heavy-duty cooling that comes in the Z51 Performance Package. That also adds a performance exhaust, which gives the LT2 engine factory ratings of 495 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. An 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission with paddle shifters and an electronic limited-slip differential with a special rear axle ratio delivers the Corvette's output to the road.
Additional equipment includes the multi-mode Magnetic Selective Ride Control and Performance Traction Management systems.
