This 1965 Ford F-100 received a restoration that was recently completed. Finished in Holly Green over a multi-color interior, it draws its power from a rebuilt 460ci V8 from a 1977 Lincoln Continental donor car connected to a rebuilt 3-speed automatic gearbox. Equipment includes a long bed, power steering, and Magnaflow exhaust hardware. Currently in Denver, Colorado, this F-100 Styleside is available now with an American Autowire rewiring kit, a truck cover, and a clear title in the seller's name.
The fourth-generation Ford F-series debuted for the 1961 model year with new styling. The 1965 model year that this particular truck was built in brought a revised front end with the front turn signals moved between the hood and the grille. As part of its ground-up restoration, the truck's body and bed were sandblasted and coated with epoxy primer and Ford Holly Green paint.
The exterior features chrome bumpers at both ends, colored badges on the hood and front fenders, utility compartments on both sides of the bed, and brightwork along the truck's front fenders, doors, and bedsides. "Ford" is spelled out in white block letters on the tailgate.
The cabin is furnished with black carpeting, a black and white dashboard with metallic trim, and green and white door panels. The seller notes that they spent 40 hours reupholstering the bench seat, which features new foam and black and white gingham inserts. Equipment includes power steering provided by a Borgeson close-ratio power steering unit, a green 3-spoke steering wheel, and a column-mounted shifter.
The metallic trim on the dashboard surrounds a gauge cluster that includes a 100-mph speedometer as well as readouts for the alternator, fuel level, temperature, and oil pressure. According to the seller, the odometer was zeroed out during the restoration and they have put 4,000 miles on the truck in the 3 years they have owned it. An aftermarket Sunpro 8K-rpm tachometer is attached to the steering column. The display for an aftermarket Holley Sniper EFI system is attached to the bottom of the dashboard.
The engine bay contains a rebuilt 460ci V8 from a 1977 Lincoln Continental equipped with an RV cam, headers with 2-inch tubing, and a Holley Sniper EFI system. The big-block engine is connected to the rebuilt 3-speed automatic from the same Continental donor vehicle. Auxiliary hardware includes a power brake booster and dual master cylinder.
The photo gallery contains pictures showing the frame, which was stripped and painted during the truck's restoration, and the truck's red wheels with chrome center caps and BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. The engine breathes through Magnaflow exhaust hardware.
An engine break-in oil change was performed a year ago. Sale includes truck cover and American Autowire rewiring kit.
