1967 Ford Mustang Fastback 4-Speed

This 1967 Ford Mustang fastback is a one-of-one, restored pony car powered by a numbers-matching 289ci V8 paired with a 4-speed manual transmission. Initially assembled in San Jose, California on November 29 of its model year, this car is said to have resided long-term in that region and offers a rust-free original body. According to the accompanying Marti report, this car is one of one produced with its body style, running gear, color combination, interior options, and California emissions. Finished in a Dark Moss Green respray over a reupholstered Ivy Gold vinyl interior, this first-generation Mustang is now offered with a Marti Report and a clear Colorado title in the seller’s name.

Originating under the T5 project name, the first-generation Mustang pony car debuted for the 1965 model year and received a redesign in 1967 which brought larger overall size, concave taillights, a side scoop, and other aesthetic changes. This example from that year wears a restored original steel body, a Dark Moss Green repaint, Décor Group accents,and brightwork for the bumpers, grille surround, window trim, rocker panel moldings, and more. Lighting features include sequential LED brake and turn signal lamps.

Factory FoMoCo styled steel wheels are wrapped in newer Firestone whitewall tires. Stopping power comes from power-assisted front disc brakes, and steering is power-assisted as well.

The four-seat interior is fitted with reupholstered Ivy Gold vinyl bucket seats with the interior décor group. The rear seat is a Sport Deck folding seat offering access into the cargo area. Cabin amenities include SelectAire air conditioning that has been retrofitted to R134a refrigerant, upper and full-length lower consoles, aluminum accent trim, a push-button AM/FM radio, and tinted glass. The trunk is lined with a vinyl mat and contains a full-size spare tire.

Instrumentation includes a 120-mph speedometer and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads approximately 10k miles, although true chassis mileage is unknown.

The numbers-matching 289ci V8 is equipped with a four-barrel carburetor. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a floor-shifted 4-speed manual transmission.
