This 1962 Oldsmobile Starfire convertible is a one-year-only design that received a frame-off restoration completed in 2013. It comes finished in Garnet Mist with a power-folding white convertible top and a red interior and draws power from its original rebuilt 394ci V8, which is connected to a 3-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes power brakes with aftermarket front discs, power steering, and power windows. Originally built in Oldsmobile's Wilmington, Delaware plant, this garage-kept droptop Starfire is available now with receipts, a photo album documenting its restoration, an owner's manual, and a clear Florida title in the seller's name.
For the 1962 model year, Oldsmobile redesigned the Starfire by giving it a single line of brightwork down the center of its hood and different "Oldsmobile" lettering, a revised grille, different metallic side trim with a ribbed accent panel on each door, and an altered rear end. This particular Garnet Mist Starfire is one of 7,149 convertibles made for the 1962 model year and reportedly has its original sheet metal which is free of rust and Bondo. Exterior features include a chrome-ringed slotted grille with a Starfire badge in the center, quad round headlights, a chrome front bumper with turn signals, full-length side trim bars with Starfire script badges, round mirror housings with a machined finish, and a rear end with quad oval taillights, a chrome bumper equipped with reverse lights, and dual exhaust finishers. A power-folding white fabric convertible top covers the 2-row passenger compartment.
According to the current owner, the body panels have perfect gap alignment, the top is flawless and works perfectly, and the glass, stainless steel, and brightwork are in near-perfect condition. They also report the rocker panels and door and trunk jambs are exquisite.
The cabin is furnished with red carpeting featuring metallic trim strips, seats with pleated inserts, and door panels with ribbed upper sections. Metallic trim is found on the backs of the front seats, door panels, door sills, dashboard, and center console. Badging can be found on the hub of the 2-spoke steering wheel, dashboard above the glove compartment, front door panels, and between the rear seatbacks. Equipment includes metal pedals with rubber sections, an aftermarket Vintage Air AC system that reportedly blows "ice cold", courtesy lighting, and power steering, windows, and power driver seat. The carpeted trunk contains a spare wheel with a cover and a whitewall tire. A worn diagram on the underside of the trunk lid shows how to use the included jack.
Behind the 2-spoke steering wheel is a bank of instruments consisting of a horizontal 120-mph speedometer, a fuel gauge, and an odometer. Sunpro coolant temperature, voltage, and oil pressure gauges are located to the right of the wheel. The center console houses a 6K-rpm tachometer and the shifter for the automatic transmission.
Inside of the engine bay is a reportedly numbers-matching 394ci V8 that was rebuilt and has fewer than 600 miles on it. It is topped with an air cleaner housing that reads "Oldsmobile Starfire Ultra High Compression" and transmits its power through a 3-speed Hydra-Matic automatic transmission and the rear wheels.
The car is equipped with power brakes, a front disc brake conversion, 14-inch wheels with covers set inside of Hankook Mileage Plus II whitewall tires, and dual exhaust finishers. There are pictures of it from multiple angles in the photo carousel to the right.
Sale includes receipts, a photo gallery of the restoration, and the owner's manual.

@Horsepwr4me – Is there a panel that covers items below dash on passenger side? Also are the seats leather or vinyl? ...
I believe the material to be Naugahyde. There is no cover that I am aware of
