This 1985 Jeep CJ-7 has been with the seller for approximately a year and a half, driven less than 500 miles during ownership, and comes with a total of 190,000 miles on the chassis. Power is provided to all four wheels by a 350ci AMC V8 mated to a 3-speed automatic transmission. Modifications include a lift kit, larger wheels and tires, upgraded front and rear bumpers, roll cage, and interior audio upgrades. This CJ7 is now offered for sale with a CARFAX report showing two damage report entries and a clear Michigan title in the seller's name.
The body is finished in a dark red, and is believed to be original with no rust per the seller. The removable soft-top is coated with a black finish, and the custom bumpers with matching roll cage come with an 8,000 lb. warn winch on the front. The fully removable hard body-color doors and soft doors come with the vehicle, and a swing-away mount on the rear houses the full-size spare tire.
black steel wheels are installed on all four corners, and are wrapped in 38” Super Swamper Tires. The seller reports that new lug nut seals, calipers, and wheel bearings were added recently. The suspension supports a 4" body lift.
The interior features upholstered black leather bucket seats with a center console mounted in between. The floor has been coated with Rhino Line, and a Pioneer head unit was installed under the dash. Per the seller, the cabin is protected by a custom cage that’s built to only protect the driver and front passenger.
Instrumentation is provided by a series of original gauges within the aluminum diamond-plate surround, including an 85-mph speedometer, a tachometer, an analog clock, and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The seller states that the gas gauge does not work. The mechanical odometer reads approximately 190k miles, and the seller reports this mileage is original to the vehicle.
The AMC 350 V8 is mated to a 3-speed automatic transmission. Recent servicing to the drivetrain includes new front hub and shaft, new manual lockers on the front, and new transmission and power steering fluid was added in August 2021.
Additional underside photos are available in the gallery.
According to the CARFAX report, in November of 1999, the vehicle hit a ditch and withstood damage to its undercarriage. In October of 2003, the vehicle was inspected after it was vandalized.

@Koski – Hey Frankie, I personally have not town it - only driven. The trailer picture is from previous owner to show with the top up. No death wobble, we used it 60% on road, 40% off road. Will cruise at highway speeds no problem. AC does not work but the heat does! ...
