This 1954 Chevrolet Bel Air two-door is a customized sedan with shaved door handles, refinished brightwork, a two-tone repaint, power disc brakes, and a replacement 327ci V8 paired with a Turbo 350 3-speed automatic transmission. Restoration work was completed on the interior including the installation of an air conditioning system, a radio, an upholstered trunk, and embroidered floor mats. Finished in two-tone turquoise and white over a reupholstered two-tone dark green and white vinyl interior, this first-generation Bel Air is now offered with a clear Massachusetts title in the seller’s name.
The first Bel Air was launched for the 1950 model year as a full-size vehicle on the General Motors A-body platform, later receiving a facelift in 1953. Among the changes applied to the body were revised brightwork and body lines. This Bel Air two-door sedan was repainted in a two-tone color scheme, with turquoise body and a white roof. The body was customized at the time of restoration, incorporating shaved door handles, hood, and decklid. Brightwork is in good condition including the bumpers, grille, window trim, and dual polished exhaust outlets at the rear.
Chrome wheels are wrapped in Goodyear blackwall tires, and the braking system was upgraded to power discs.
The interior is fitted with reupholstered green and white vinyl bench seats with green lap belts, color-matched to the door panels, dash, carpeting, and embroidered floor mats. The dash is dressed in ribbed chrome trim with a Chevrolet insignia, and additional amenities include air conditioning, a radio, and an upholstered trunk.
Replacement VDO gauges are set in a textured bright bezel and include a 120-mph speedometer and accompanying gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. An aftermarket 8k-rpm tachometer has been column-mounted, and the five-digit mechanical odometer reads 23k miles, although true mileage on the chassis is unknown.
The replacement 327ci V8 is topped by a chrome-finished air cleaner and other bright dress-up accents. An oil change was performed in fall 2020, and the seller notes that there are some oil seeps currently present. Power is fed to the rear wheels via a column-shifted 3-speed Turbo 350 automatic transmission.

@[email protected] – Why no answer on the suspension issue , seller should disclose every thing to help his sale ??????? ...
My apologies - nothing about transparency just wasn’t certain and still am not positive. That said, I don’t believe there’s any modification on its suspension. It’s a beautiful vehicle and I haven’t had the time to enjoy it. That’s the reason for the sale.
