This 1991 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 cabriolet had its engine rebuilt at 186K miles and comes finished in red with a tan fabric power convertible top over a black leather interior. From the factory, the 3.6-liter flat-6 generated 247 horsepower and 228 lb-ft of torque and sent it to the road through a 5-speed manual gearbox and all-wheel drive. Equipment includes power front bucket seats, a Bluetooth-compatible aftermarket radio, and aftermarket speakers. Currently located in Florida, this droptop 911 comes with a black tonneau cover, a clean CARFAX report, and a clear Massachusetts title in the seller's name.
In 1989, Porsche launched the 964 generation of the 911, which featured improved aerodynamics compared to its predecessor. According to the automaker, the all-wheel-drive "911 Carrera 4 type 964 contained 85 percent new parts." This particular 911 Carrera 4 cabriolet comes dressed in red with a tan fabric power soft top and a plastic rear window. Exterior features include foglights and amber turn signals in the lower front fascia, a black tonneau cover, and a spoiler integrated into the rear engine cover designed to rise at 50 mph.
The seller reports the car is equipped with Cup 2 wheels and new tires.
The cabin is furnished with black carpeting, black leather seats, and black door panels. According to the current owner, there is a 3" tear in the driver's seat that is patched with leather tape. Equipment includes power adjustment for the front row, a console-mounted parking brake handle, an aftermarket Bluetooth-compatible radio, and aftermarket speakers.
The black dashboard houses a set of analog gauges that includes a 180-mph speedometer, a 7,600-rpm tachometer, a clock, and gauges for the fuel and oil level, temperature, and pressure. According to the seller, the air conditioning is complete but needs to be recharged and while the ABS, convertible top, and airbag lights occasionally come on, the car brakes straight and true and the top and airbags are in working order.
When this 911 Carrera 4 left the factory, it was equipped with a naturally aspirated 3.6-liter flat-6 that generated 247 horsepower and 228 lb-ft of torque. The seller bought the car in 2004 and has put 42K miles on it since then. The engine was reportedly rebuilt completely at the 186K-mile mark, at which time a new starter was also installed, and the odometer now shows 192,307 miles. A 5-speed manual transmission and permanent all-wheel drive transmit the engine's output to the road.
The condition of the undercarriage is shown in the photo above.
Service history listed on the CARFAX report shows that the rear wheel bearing(s)/hub(s), wheel speed sensor(s), and engine oil cooler line(s) were repaired/replaced in 2012, the oil pressure sender/switch and front brakes and rotors were replaced in 2014, and the clutch, master and slave cylinders, crankshaft position sensor, and valve cover gasket were replaced in 2017.

@Sternlicht – In response to question posted, I am selling because I simply don’t drive car enough. I live in Boston where the car was up until about 2015 when I bought my first condo in Miami Beach. It doesnt do well sitting being non-driven for as long as four month intervals and up until I bought a trickle charger (Ctec) it would constantly have a dead battery when I came to Miami. The charger takes care of this. The car also produces a fair amount of heat if you have the windows and top up and the AC needs a recharge because right now it doesnt work , but when I charged it with Freon it worked well for about a week but not again when I came down a few months later. There may be a leak in one of the AC hoses - I dont know. The heat that the car produces is not from anything wrong with it other than its possible some of the original insulation has worn away. I bought another car that I can use a bit more reliably and comfortably (A5 convertible) even though it doesnt have the beauty or appeal of this car which gets thumbs up wherever I go with it. Relative to the mechanical work , I interested bidders can call the phone of the certified Porsche Mechanic in Needham Massachusetts that did the work and you can call and verify with him (Paul Stein, Chestnut Motors, (781) 444-4600. ). Paul did most of the work on the car from 2004 to 2015 so he knows it well. I will be sad to see it go but I dont need two cars in Miami while I am single and live in Boston. ...
Thanks very much for the detailed reply and information. It is a beautiful and seemingly well-loved car.

Couple questions: Why are you selling? Do you have any paperwork of the engine work?
