This 1974 Plymouth Duster two-door coupe has driven less than 600 miles since undergoing a complete rebuild and received a repaint in 2015 along with custom fiberglass bumpers and hood. Power comes from a professionally-built small block 360ci V8 that has been stroked to 408ci and paired with a 727 3 Speed automatic transmission. A Zex nitrous plate system is installed on the car with a custom controller, and the interior has been outfitted with a custom dash with Auto Meter gauges and laser engraved switches, a new headliner, door panels, dash pad, and a custom-built roll bar. The seller has owned the vehicle for 13 years and the oil and transmission fluid was changed in March 2021, demonstrating good roadworthiness. Finished in Green Go over a black vinyl interior, this Duster is now offered with service records, build book, and a clear Missouri title in the seller’s name.
This reported rust-free body has been mini tubbed, and was repainted Green Go with accenting black side stripes in 2015, and features color-matched bumper, a replacement black hood with badging, and black 408 badging in black on the rear quarters. The seller notes that all of the weather stripping, wiring, and plumbing have been replaced, and there are no decals on this vehicle, as all the striping and lettering have been painted.
Centerline aluminum wheels are mounted to Mickey Thompson tires. The brakes are power assisted, with a vacuum pump running Aerospace rear disk brakes and factory disks up front.
Seating is provided by replacement black vinyl ProCar Rally seats with five-point racing harnesses to keep you safe. Accented with a woodgrain overlay, the interior includes a custom dash with AutoMeter gauges and laser engraved switches, new headliner, door panels, and a dash pad.
Instrumentation includes a complete suite of AutoMeter gauges, which include a Pro Comp 160-mph speedometer, Monster Sport-Comp10k-rpm tachometer, and AutoMeter gauges for voltage, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and transmission temperature. An AEM air-fuel ratio gauge is used to monitor exhaust output. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads just under 600 miles since the restoration, although true mileage on the chassis is unknown.
Power comes from a professionally-built small block 360ci V8 that has been stroked to 408ci and fed by a 750 cfm carburetor that features an aluminum intake manifold & flowed iron heads, moderate cam, and MSD electronic ignition. Additional upgrades include Icon forged pistons, Eagle rods and crank, a .575 lift hydraulic roller cam, Crane roller rockers, flowed heads, high volume oil pump and deep sump oil pan. The exhaust consists of 3 inch exhaust, electronic cut-outs and hooker headers. Power is directed to the rear wheels via a Strange rear end with 4.33 gears and a 3-speed A-727 automatic transmission equipped with a trans brake, a 4500 stall converter and a console-mounted shift lever.
Qa1 coil overs, Art Morrison Ladder bars and custom frame connectors can be found underneath the car. Additional photos can be found in the gallery below.
A photo album of the car and various trophies are included in the sale
