This 1996 Chevrolet Impala SS comes from the final year of the seventh-generation model. It is finished in black over a gray leather interior and draws power from a tuned 5.7-liter V8 modified with Lloyd Elliot cylinder heads, roller rockers, a new camshaft, and other parts. Features include power windows, locks, and mirrors; a power driver's seat; and new tires, wheels, and brakes that were reportedly added within the last 500-1,000 miles. Available now, this Impala SS comes with service records, receipts, its factory parts, a car cover, a clean CARFAX report, and a clear title in the seller's name.
The outside of the car is dressed in black and features a body-color grille, bumpers, mirror caps, door handles, side moldings, and a trunk-mounted spoiler. Brightwork includes the headlight, front and rear windshield, and side window trim as well as the Impala badges on the rear body pillars and trunk lid.
The car reportedly has 62K miles; according to the current owner, new black and silver wheels, tires, brakes, and rotors were installed within the last 500-1,000 miles. The seller reports the roof was repainted in 2020.
The cabin is furnished with gray carpeting, gray leather seats, gray door panels, and a gray dashboard. Equipment includes power mirrors, windows, and locks; a power driver's seat; a Tilt-Wheel adjustable steering column; cruise control; and air conditioning.
Chevrolet equipped the 1996 Impala SS with a console-mounted automatic shifter and new analog gauges, including a 7K-rpm tachometer and a 160-mph speedometer along with readouts for the fuel level and coolant temperature. The seller reports this car has 62,000 miles; the CARFAX report contains entries for mileage inconsistencies in July of 2018 and February of 2021.
Within the last 500-1,000 miles, the 5.7-liter V8 has received several modifications, including a tune, Lloyd Elliot heads, an intake, roller rockers, a camshaft, and a cold air intake as well as spark plugs and wires, according to the seller. The engine is connected to an automatic transmission with a new high stall torque converter. Per the seller, the oil was changed two months ago.
The LT1 V8 puts its power to the road through a 3.73 rear end that was part of the modifications added in the last 500-1,000 miles.
Sale comes with a car cover, records, and receipts and the seller will include the car's factory parts if the winning bidder wants them.
