This 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air is a largely original two-door sedan that has been one-family owned for over 40 years and and is powered by a 283ci V8 mated to a 2-speed automatic transmission. Recent work in the last two months consists of new brakes, radiator, fuel tank, plug wires, and transmission seal. With a white exterior over two-tone black & red vinyl seating, this Bel Air is now offered with original valve covers, steering wheel, wheels, hub caps, service records, and a clear Tennessee title in the seller’s name.
When Chevrolet released the 1957 Bel Air, updates were carried out for the aesthetics that included more pronounced, chrome-laden tailfins and a restyle of the front end. This two-door hardtop example is finished in White and features Bel Air logos on the rear quarters and brightwork around the perimeter is corrosion-free and includes the front and rear bumpers, grille, hood ornament, side moldings, window trim, mirrors, and dual exhausts at the rear connected to mufflers. The seller states that this car has been garage kept for 30 plus years, with no rust on the body or frame, only surface rust underneath from moisture.
Factory 14” wheels with chrome hubcaps are fitted to new whitewall tires. An extra set factory wheels with the original hubcaps will go with the car.
The interior is outfitted with reupholstered two-tone black and red bench seating, tied in with matching door panels, a red-painted dash, and black carpeting topped by Chevrolet embroidered floor mats. The dash is accented by a full-width aluminum bezel with "Bel Air" script on the passenger side. Equipment includes a wood-rimmed 3-spoke steering wheel with horn button, manual crank windows, and original AM radio. According to the seller, seat cover threads on driver’s side need to be resewn.
Instrumentation features a 120-mph speedometer and accompanying factory gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The 5-digit odometer was last reported to show 89,354 original miles.
The 283ci V8 is fitted with a rebuilt original 4 BBL carburetor, and the seller indicates that a new radiator, and front transmission seal have been installed. Power is transferred to the rear wheels via a 2-speed automatic transmission with a column-mounted shift lever.

@pachecogw – There are a lot of receipts in the folder for various parts from over the years. I'm not sure what the component in the trunk is but it looks like an amp for the rear speakers. I don't know if its OEM or not. Possibly put in later? ...
Great.. thanks for your honest reply…..
@Rjm8949 – Great… thanks. I see there is some paperwork in the pictures. Also I see there are speakers and something else for the radio in the trunk. Is that something after market that was put in later? ...

Ok.. thanks. Do you have any receipts done to the car over the years including the engine, transmission, electrical, oil changes, etc? Thanks again..
@Rjm8949 – Do you have any documentation that goes with the being you have owned for a long period of time? Thanks.. ...
I'm selling this car for my elderly Mom. It belonged to my Stepdad who passed away about 9 years ago. She has finally decided to sell it. You can see the date he purchased it on the yellow title in the pictures posted here. (April 1969) The car was transferred to her before his passing so it has a new title now but the yellow title will be included with the sale for your records.
