This 1971 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is presented as a 93,000-original-mile example powered by a rebuilt numbers-matching Turbo Fire 350ci V8 paired with an overhauled 3-speed Turbo Hydra-Matic automatic transmission. This C3 was reportedly maintained under prior ownership for over 35 years and features body-color removable Targa roof panels, bright trim, and Rallye wheels. Finished in Ontario Orange over a medium saddle vinyl interior, this C3 Corvette is now offered with performance documentation, service records, and a clear Arizona title in the seller’s name.
The third-generation Corvette first debuted in 1968 based on the Mako Shark II Concept car and received adjustments to the body contours, marker lamps, and exhaust outlets two years later. This C3 Corvette from 1971 wears Ontario Orange (987) paint finishes and has a clean undercarriage with no visible signs of rust per the seller. The hood has been replaced but according to an independent top-and-bottom inspection by a consignment facility, the straight body appears free of any accident history and the exterior aside from the hood is original. The body features pop-up quad headlights, chrome vented front fenders, removable body-color T-tops, integrated door handles, and a dual exhaust system at the rear.
Silver-painted steel Rallye wheels with chrome center caps and polished trim rings are mounted to BFGoodrich Radial T/A raised-white-letter tires.
The two-seat interior is fitted with original medium saddle vinyl (417) bucket seating, color-matched to the dash, center console, door panels, and carpeting. Amenities include an AM/FM radio, a telescoping steering wheel, and a carpeted cargo area. The seller notes that the door panels show some cracking consistent with age as shown in the photo carousel.
Instrumentation includes a 160-mph speedometer and a 7k-rpm tachometer, along with additional gauges in the center stack for oil pressure, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 93k miles, although true mileage on the chassis is unknown. The seller notes that the analog clock is not working.
The numbers-matching Turbo Fire 350ci V8 was not factory-assembled as an LT1 but was rebuilt as such, rated at 330 horsepower and said to run well although there are some small oil leaks and transmission leaks according to the seller. Recent services include a tune up and fluid changes. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a numbers-matching 3-speed Turbo Hydra-Matic automatic transmission that received replacement gaskets and seals in 2020 from AAMCO.
Photos showing the underside are available in the carousel.
The sale includes a custom car cover, new in box JEGS HEI distributor, JEGS 40k watt coil, JEGS 8.0mm plug wire, a full set of AC Delco spark plugs, a title from the previous owner dated 1985, performance documentation on the Crane cams, and service records from the AAMCO transmission work. The seller has provided two videos.
