This 1972 Chevrolet Monte Carlo has been with the seller for 18 years and is powered by a rebuilt 1974-model-year 454ci V8 that has been bored out to a 463ci paired with a replacement THM400 automatic transmission. Equipped with an 11-inch chain steering wheel, modern leather front bucket seats, a cowl hood, dual exhaust, a rebuilt suspension, Thrush Welded mufflers, and more, this first-generation Chevrolet Monte Carlo is now offered with documentation, parts receipts, original hardware, and current Canadian registration.
In 2013, the car's steel body was repainted in black. The seller reports that a patch was welded into a front fender and that the rear quarter panel skins are new. Other features include a cowl induction hood, brightwork on the bumpers and around the windows and egg-crate grille, and a dual exhaust system with finishers that exit below the rear bumper.
A set of polished aluminum wheels comes wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires with raised white sidewall lettering.
The interior is furnished with modern black vinyl bucket front and black fabric bench rear seating; black door panels, dashboard, and carpeting; and woodgrain dashboard trim. Equipment includes a Pioneer audio head unit, an 11-inch chain steering wheel, and a B&M Ratchet shifter.
Instrumentation includes a 120-mph speedometer with an integrated gear selection window, an analog clock, and a fuel gauge along with a standalone 8K-tachometer mounted to the steering column. The five-digit odometer reads 24,867 miles, but true mileage is unknown.
Power is provided by a rebuilt 1974-model-year 454ci V8 that was overbored to 463ci cubic inches and equipped with iron 781 heads, new valves, 7/16-inch pushrods, and a Holley 750-cfm double pumper carburetor. Additional hardware includes a Melling camshaft, an MSD ignition system, long tube headers, a Moroso oil pan, a four-core radiator with dual electric fans, and a 110-gph electric fuel pump. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a rebuilt and modified THM400 automatic transmission. The seller reports an oil leak was repaired by a shop a month ago. A video below shows the car idling and revving.
Photos showing the underside, which includes a built and balanced stock driveshaft, a brake line lock, and a GM 12-bolt rear end with 3.73 gears, are available in the carousel.
Uninstalled parts included in the sale are a steering wheel, door handles, windshield wipers, and more, as well as an owner's manual and a Haynes repair manual.

@DEWING1107 – is it set up for MPH or KPH, on the speedometer? ...
It’s mph, car passed a full interprovincial safety inspection in 2017. Everything works.
is it set up for MPH or KPH, on the speedometer?
Do you see any issue with it driving to Salt Lake City, Utah. All lights, and wipers work?
