This 1999 Toyota Celica GT is presented as a two-door convertible with longstanding California ownership history, consistent maintenance, and unmodified mechanical condition powered by a 2.2-liter inline-4 paired with a 4-speed automatic transaxle. This Celica was delivered to its original owner in California in April 1999 and resided in the area since, most recently transferring to the seller four months ago. Finished in black over a black leather interior, this sixth-generation Celica is now offered with a clean CARFAX report and a clear California title in the seller’s name.
With origins dating back to 1970, the first Celica was based on the Toyota Corona platform and was sold as a three-door liftback coupe and a two-door hardtop. The sixth-generation was introduced on the T200 platform in 1993 and carried visual resemblance to the Supra sportscar with four round headlights. This Celica convertible from 1999 is painted Black (202) and offers a rust-free body thanks to west coast ownership since new. The body features upgrades fog lamps, color-matched sideview mirrors, a power-operated retractable top, a rear spoiler, and a polished-outlet exhaust tip.
Five-spoke 15” machined aluminum wheels are wrapped in newer 205/55 Kumho Ecsta tires, and stopping power comes from four-wheel discs.
The 2+2 interior is dressed in all-black, with leather bucket seats and a matching center console. Amenities include air conditioning, a factory AM/FM/CD/cassette player, power windows, and cruise control.
Instrumentation is delivered via a 150-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and accompanying gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 106k miles, which is a true reading supported by the CARFAX report.
The 16-valve 2.2-liter 5S-FE inline-4 was rated at 130 horsepower when new and received an oil change, fluid change, and inspection in September 2021. Power is directed to the front wheels via a console-shifted 4-speed automatic transaxle.
Photos showing the underside are available in the carousel.
The CARFAX report illustrates a history free of accidents or damage. The vehicle passed a California emissions inspection in September 2021.
