1965 Factory Five MK3 Cobra

This 5.8K-mile 2010 Factory Five Racing MK3 roadster modeled after the 1965 Shelby Cobra was purchased by the seller as an incomplete assembly in April of 2021. Under previous ownership, the 351ci V8 and Tremec five-speed manual gearbox were installed; the current owner had the car painted gray with black and green stripes and the interior furnished with diamond-quilted panels. Equipment includes powder-coated 17-inch wheels wrapped in Toyo Proxes R888R tires, side-pipe exhausts, and the slotted and cross-drilled brake rotors from a 2003 Mustang Cobra. Available now, this Factory Five roadster comes with a separate, uninstalled wood-rimmed steering wheel and a clear Tennessee title in the seller's name.

Since acquiring the car in April of this year, the current owner had the body finished in Ford Lead Foot Gray paint, which has reportedly been treated with a seven-year ceramic coating, and black and neon green stripes that run through the middle of the car and down the sides of the front fenders. Features include a hood scoop, front fender vents, a driver-side mirror, wrapped side exhausts, stone guards on the rear fenders, and roll hoops behind both seats.

Powder-coated 17-inch FR500-style wheels are set inside of Toyo Proxes R888R tires with 2021 year codes that measure 235/45/17 in the front and 315/35/17 in the rear.

During their time with the car, the current owner finished the interior, which features black carpeting and diamond-quilted trim on the door panels and center console. Equipment includes a three-spoke Grant steering wheel connected to manual steering, reportedly big-and-tall bucket seats with Simpson harnesses, and a black shift knob with neon green stripes.

The multi-panel dashboard houses a set of Auto Meter Pro-Comp Ultra-Lite instruments that includes a 160-mph speedometer, a 10K-rpm tachometer, and readouts for the oil temperature, oil pressure, battery voltage, water temperature, and fuel level. The digital odometer shows 5,800+ miles; the current owner added 1,600 of them since completing their modifications in June of 2021. A touchscreen mounted to the bottom of the dashboard controls the FAST EZ-EFI fuel injection system.

Under the hood is a 1994 F4TE 351ci Windsor V8 equipped with roller rockers, a .578 hydraulic roller camshaft, and an Edelbrock Performer top end kit with an RPM intake manifold and cylinder heads. Additional equipment includes a FAST EZ-EFI fuel injection system, March Performance pulleys, and a PerTronix Flame-Thrower distributor. According to the current owner, the engine produces approximately 450 horsepower. A Tremec TKO-600 5-speed manual gearbox and the rear wheels deliver the engine's output to the road.
