This 1979 Ford F150 4x4 is finished in metallic blue over black interior and powered by a 460ci V8 with 4-speed manual transmission. Acquired approximately 11 years ago by the seller, the truck received a partial restoration both mechanically and cosmetically and has been driven approximately 300 miles since completion and garage kept the entire time. Features include custom mud flaps, sunroof, updated bumpers, and 33" tires. Currently located in Villard, Minnesota, this F150 is now offered for sale on a clean title in the seller's name.
The truck left the factory originally finished in Medium Golden Sand Metallic but was taken down to bare metal and refinished in a non-OEM shade of metallic blue approximately 10 years ago. New bumpers we installed with the front bumper featuring integrated fog lights while the rear bumper features reverse integrated reverse lights and tread pad. The bed has been coated in a high-durability black bed liner and the tailgate features stamped "FORD" letters that have been finished in black for contrast. Chrome semi-truck rear wheel well covers were modified to fit as mudflaps to go along with chrome wheel well moldings and side spear trim. The rear window features a sliding center section and a manually operated sunroof that was added prior to the seller's acquisition.
The truck rides on slotted 15" aftermarket wheels with manually locking front hubs for the 4wd system. Cooper Discover Radial LT tires measuring 33x12.5 are mounted on all four corners. The braking consists of power-assisted discs in the front and drums in the rear.
The interior features a bench seat upholstered in black vinyl with matching black door panels, dash pad and rubberized floor covering in lieu of carpeting. A long handle shift lever with polished knob is mounted to the floor for the 4-speed manual transmission with a shorter lever controlling the transfer case next to it. The headliner is upholstered in black vinyl and features a cut out for the aftermarket sunroof and matching black sun visors.
Behind the polished 3-spoke aftermarket steering wheel sits the gauge cluster, providing analog readouts for fuel level and water temperature on the side with an 80mph speedometer in the center. An aftermarket 8k rpm tachometer with polished bezel is mounted to the steering column. Additional analog gauges are mounted underneath the dash, to the right of the steering column providing readouts for temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. The factory radio has been replaced with a modern head unit mounted in the original location. The five-digit odometer currently reads 57,455 miles.
Originally equipped with a 351ci V8, the seller installed a freshly rebuilt Ford 460ci V8 when they acquired the truck which has less than 300 mile on it. The transmission is the original Warner T18 4-speed manual, coupled with an NP205 transfer case, putting power to a 3.05:1 rear axle. Chrome Edelbrock valve covers and air cleaner have been added along with a larger radiator to adequately cool the bigger engine.
