This two-owner 1956 Ford F-100 is a project truck that has been one-family-owned for the past 47 years. In that time, it has received a replacement engine as well as new paint, which was applied 15 years ago. The 216ci inline-six-cylinder engine reportedly cranks up and runs, but the truck is reportedly non-operational and has not been driven in seven years. Features include a column-shifted 3-speed manual transmission, a restored bed with wood slats, running boards, and original door locks. Finished in pearl white over a two-tone gray and black interior, this garage-kept F-100 is now offered with service records and a clear California title in the seller’s name.
Ford launched the second generation of its F-Series pickups for the 1953 model year. Fifteen years ago, this 1956 F-100's reportedly rust-free body was repainted pearl white. It features black running boards; brightwork on the headlight rings, driver-side mirror, and door handles; and a restored bed floor equipped with newer wood planks and metal trim strips. The seller reports age- and use-related scuffs and nicks.
Steel wheels with chrome hub caps are wrapped in whitewall tires that the seller recommends replacing. They also suggest that the brakes may require servicing.
The interior features a two-tone black and gray bench seat along with door panels and a metal dash color-matched to the pearl white exterior. Equipment includes a three-spoke steering wheel with a center logo, black carpeting in the footwells, manual crank windows, and a headliner-mounted stereo unit with speakers.
Instrumentation consists of a 90-mph speedometer and gauges for the fuel level and coolant temperature. The odometer is reported to show 400,000 miles, but true mileage on the truck is unknown.
Power is provided by a replacement 216ci inline-6 engine. It is paired with a column-shifted 3-speed manual transmission which transfers power to the rear wheels. The seller reports that the ignition lock cylinder has been replaced. A new clutch was installed in November of 2011. The video below shows the engine running.
Photos showing the underside are available in the carousel.
Service records are included with the sale of the truck.

Good morning. Planned non-operational means the truck is not being driven or parked on public roads or highways for the entire registration year. It is being housed in the garage. With that, the registration fees are paid and up to date however will resume once the title is transferred. Thank you for asking.
