1985 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS

This 1985 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS is finished in white over a gray cloth interior and is powered by a 305ci V8 paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission.  The car was originally sold in Tennessee where it resided until 2015, it now currently resides in Arkansas.  Equipment includes dual exhaust, rear spoiler, and Corvette wheels.  This Monte Carlo SS is now offered with a clean CARFAX report

The car is finished in white and features a black grille, headlight surrounds, and door handles, it was repainted at some point prior to the seller's acquisition. From the factory, all SS models received a revised front bumper, rear decklid spoiler, and striping package along with "SS" logos located on each door. The striping and decal package on this car consists of a lower thin red stripe with black upper and red "SS" decals.

The car is currently equipped with polished aluminum 15” Corvette wheels, fitted to Cooper Cobra Radial G/T raised-white-letter tires in 235-60-15 size on all four corners.  The original 15x7 Rally wheels are included in the sale, photos are located in the gallery.  The braking system features of 10.5" discs in the front and the suspension is equipped with sway bars.

The interior features dual bucket seats upholstered in gray cloth with center console-mounted in between that houses the T-handle shifter for the automatic transmission.  The original is AM/FM radio with cassette deck is retained in the dash, located just below the climate controls. Additional features include air conditioning, power locks, power windows and remote-operated drivers side view mirror.

Instrumentation includes an 85-mph speedometer and a 6k-rpm tachometer, fuel gauge, voltage gauge, coolant temperature gauge, and oil pressure gauge. The factory dash shows no signs of cracking or fading, with speakers mounted in the corners. The five-digit odometer reads 9k miles, which are reported to be 109k and supported by the clean CARFAX report.  The seller has added about 1k miles during one year of ownership.   

The 305ci, 5.0-liter high-output V8 is original to the vehicle and was originally rated at 180 horsepower from the factory.  The seller states that the vehicle has received an oil change within the last 1k miles and is not currently in need of any service items. Backing the engine is the factory 4-speed automatic transmission.
