1984 Mercedes-Benz 300SD

This 1984 Mercedes-Benz 300SD 4-door sedan was purchased new by the seller in 1983 at a Mercedes-Benz dealer in Memphis, Tennessee where it has been serviced and remained since. Power is produced by the original inline-5 cylinder turbo diesel engine paired with an automatic transmission and equipment that includes power steering and power brakes, power windows, heat and air conditioning. Recent maintenance was completed in February of this year consisting of all new fluids and a rebuilt front suspension. The car is still located in Memphis, Tennessee and offered with a clean title in the seller's name. 

Finished in Black (040) with a chrome grille and stainless and gray accents, the car has always been garage kept and still wears its original paintwork without any notable flaws indicated by the seller. Features include the W126 chassis which offered a 14% improvement in efficiency and aerodynamics over prior models along with a higher level of safety and driver protection.

Power steering and power brakes are equipped to handle a set of the stock silver14-inch wheels wrapped in 195/70 Edge A/S tires which are said to have about 10,000 miles of use on them. The front suspension was serviced this past February including replacement ball joints, control arms, bushings and shocks while the rear suspension remains in factory form. The seller reports that the car has never been in an accident and that it runs and drives straight and quietly down the interstate. 

The interior is original to the car and comes outfitted in tan leather over the bucket seating, dash and door panels on top of matching carpeting and black accent pieces. Heat and air conditioning are equipped and working with the car's climate control system and 3 out of the 4 power windows are working properly while the driver's side rear is in need of a new regulator. The seller also notes that the cruise control is not operational at this time as well, but otherwise, all systems are said to be functional. 

Instrumentation can be found behind the factory steering wheel and consists of a 100-mph speedometer along with dials for fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and an analog clock. The 6-digit odometer shows 265,317 miles but is no longer working and the seller estimates there are approximately 325,000 actual miles on the car.

The drivetrain was once rebuilt at an unknown date and was last serviced in February with all new fluids and no reported issues with functionality.
