This 1927 Dodge Brothers four-door sedan is presented with solid sheet metal, upgraded trim optioning, and a mechanically-sorted a 212ci inline-4 powerplant paired with a 3-speed manual transmission. This sedan is outfitted with cowl lamps, running board step plates, and dual-bar front and rear bumpers. Refinished in two-tone Teal Green and Black over a taupe mohair interior, this sedan is now offered with a clear Illinois title in the seller’s name.
With a partnership dating back to 1913, the Dodge brothers of Detroit, Michigan launched an automobile line centered around a four-cylinder touring car and later diversified their offerings into six-cylinder cars and pickups by the late 1920s. This four-door sedan from 1927 has rear-hinged rear doors and was repainted in a two-tone scheme, featuring a Teal Green body offset by a Black roof and matching fenders. The body features drum headlights with nickel-plated rims, cowl lamps, dual sideview mirrors, a windshield wiper, running board step plates, a rear-mounted spare tire, and a single taillight. Brightwork is corrosion-free and consists of a radiator shell and dual-bar front and rear bumpers.
Wooden 12-spoke wheels with Teal Green hardware, DB-branded center caps, and color-matched trim rings are mounted to Marathon blackwall tires with good tread life remaining.
The interior is fitted with reupholstered taupe mohair bench seating, color-matched to the door panels with integrated map pockets. The dash and steering wheel are dressed in gloss woodgrain. Additional amenities include a rearview mirror, a rear-seat footrest, side window shades, and B-pillar-mounted flower vases.
Instrumentation includes a ribbon-style speedometer, gauges for voltage and oil pressure, a fuel tank-mounted fuel gauge, and a MotoMeter for coolant temperature information. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 32k miles, although true mileage on the chassis is unknown.
The 212ci inline-4 is outfitted with a nickel-plated radiator, and power is sent to the rear wheels via a 3-speed manual transmission.
