This 1967 Chevrolet Camaro has been with the current owner for the past five years and underwent a one-year restoration completed in October of 2017. During the process, it was painted House of Kolor’s metallic Stratto Blue with black stripes and fitted with new bumpers, fenders, glass, and headlights as well as new 17-inch Ridler wheels set inside of BFGoodrich tires. The interior was furnished with quilted black leather seats and door panels, a new dashboard with Dakota Digital gauges, and an aftermarket vintage-style radio. Power comes from a 5.3-liter LS V8 and gets to the road via a 6-speed automatic transmission and a 10-bolt rear end. Now this first-year Camaro restomod is available and comes with records, instruction booklets, an owner's manual, and a clear title in the seller’s name.
In addition to new floor and trunk pans, the body was fitted with new fenders. The car was painted in House of Kolor’s metallic Stratto Blue with black stripes on the cowl hood, trunk, and spoiler, and equipped with new headlights, bumpers, glass, and seals. Additional hardware includes new hinges and latches for the doors, hood, and trunk. A set of 17" X 7" Ridler 695 wheels wrapped in P225/50ZR17 BFGoodrich g-Force Comp-2 A/S tires connect the car to the road.
The seller notes that there is a small spot of bubbling paint near the bottom of each door, both of which can be seen in the pictures in the photo gallery to the right.
The cabin was outfitted with custom black quilted leather front bucket and rear bench seating with lap belts and a matching center console and door panels. Those are accompanied by new window cranks, door handles, and knobs; a replacement headliner; and a replacement dashboard, which houses a set of Dakota Digital gauges and a vintage-style radio with a cell phone adapter cable that runs through the glove box. Other features include comprehensive American Autowire wiring, an aftermarket three-spoke steering wheel connected to a newer steering column and power steering, Vintage Air air conditioning, and heat.
The bank of Dakota Digital gauges includes a 160-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and readouts for the fuel level, battery voltage, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The seller notes they have driven the car approximately 450 miles since the new engine and transmission were installed.
Inside the engine bay is a 5.3-liter LS V8 connected to a 4L60E 6-speed automatic transmission, both of which were sourced from a 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe. The motor delivers its power to the road through a 10-bolt rear end with replaced seals and bearings. During the restomod process, the engine was equipped with a new battery, radiator, intake manifold kit, Holley oil pan, oil tube, dipstick, and exhaust system with headers. According to the seller, the wiring kit was upgraded and the engine computer was calibrated to the car's engine size, fuel injectors, gear ratios, and tire size. An oil change was performed in the spring of 2021. The video below shows the engine running.
A protective coating was applied to the engine bay, trunks, floors pans, fenders, and frame. Power disc brakes at all four corners bring the car to a stop.
Records, instruction booklets, and an owner's manual are included with the sale of the vehicle.
@Mac51 – Terrible interior actually I’ve never seen would be embarrassing and should have been a manual transmission-good luck! ...
So Mac51 this is a "Terrible interior you actually "never" seen--what a dork. You deserve to be put down for such a stupid, incoherent, and useless comment
@ILM409 – I like the upholstery especially the door panels and the seats look comfortable Maybe I wouldn’t of put on the console But who cares You can tell it’s good quality to last Beautiful work Do you kno what the original color was? My first car was a 67 Camaro (year born) ...
I am not sure what the original color was for certain. During the restoration process we found some gold or yellow color, which both were original schemes for this model year. The car was painted red when I took possession of it, and had been that color at least as far back as the early 90's.

Why bother to comment if it’s something you don’t like? If you have a question… Ask about it. Nice ride. Hope you get what you’re asking. I’ve always been told if you don’t have something nice to say then don’t say nothing at all. Mom’s are some of the wisest people on the planet. More people ought to listen to them. ✌️

contemplated not responding since this is not a question, but more of an opinion, and decided to anyway. Thank you for your opinion on the vehicle, but it is just an opinion. There are reasons for my choices which I will elaborate on briefly. First, to say this was my very first classic car purchase and restoration. You always learn a lot from your experiences, and there are some things I would do differently. However, putting in a stick shift was not one of them, again its a personal choice, but for what I wanted this car to be and do required it remain an automatic as was originally built. The interior choice has personal and sentimental value likely to me alone. You see my cousin and uncle (deceased now) own the upholstery shop and this car originally started its restoration life with them in 1999 when they owned the car. Their shop is more than 60 years old and they do fantastic work for some of the best custom car builders in the area, including the Starbird family for many years. This particular car was a personal project between a father and son, but it ended way too soon when the father (my uncle) passed unexpectedly. So, yes it may not be a fan favorite choice (don't find it embarrassing), but I am definitely not the one to change it for personal reasons. Now any car enthusiast / rebuilder knows an aftermarket interior kit for this model of Camaro is relative cheap and abundantly available should someone want to simply go that route versus a custom re-upholster. I do appreciate you looking at the car and hope you find what you're looking for.
