This right-hand-drive 1953 Lanchester Fourteen is finished in silver and dark green over an interior that features gray cloth seats and woodgrain trim. It comes equipped with front and rear bench seating, manual windows, and a glove compartment. Power is provided by a 120ci inline-four engine and sent to the road through a column-mounted 4-speed manual transmission and the rear wheels. Available now from a selling dealer, this British sedan comes with receipts, manuals, inspection records, historical documents, and a clear Florida title.
The front and rear fenders and the lower half of the doors are finished in silver; dark green covers the remaining half of the doors as well as the hood, roof, and trunk lid. Brightwork is located on the headlight rings, vertical grille, front and rear bumpers with overriders, fender-mounted side mirrors, side window trim, door handles, and fuel cap.
The car rides on a set of wheels with Lanchester-branded chrome hub caps and whitewall tires.
The cabin is furnished with dark green carpeting, two-tone green vinyl and gray cloth bench seats, and tan door panels topped with wood grain trim, which also covers the face of the dashboard. Equipment includes manual windows, dark green lap belts in the front row, a fold-down middle armrest in the second row, a three-spoke banjo-style steering wheel, and a column-mounted manual shifter with a gear selection indicator.
Instrumentation is located in the center of the woodgrain dashboard and consists of an 80-mph speedometer and readouts for the fuel level, amps, and more. The dual-level trunk contains a carpeted partition and a spare wheel/tire.
The tapered hood covers an OHV 120ci inline four-cylinder engine that routes its power through a 4-speed preselective-style manual gearbox and the rear wheels. According to the selling dealer, the oil was changed and the coolant was flushed a few years ago. The video below shows the car being started up and driven.
Sale of the car includes receipts, manuals, inspection records, and historical documents.
