This 1972 Chevrolet C10 2WD pickup is presented as a turn-key driver that has logged approximately 17,000 miles on a replacement rebuilt 400ci V8 that was bored out to 406ci and routes its power through an automatic transmission. During the seller’s 12 years of ownership, this C/K series pickup received a refurbished interior, a Kenwood head unit paired with Sony speakers, and more. Finished in orange with a white cab over a black vinyl interior, this final-year "Action Line" C10 is now offered by the selling dealer with a clear title in the seller’s name.
Launched in 1967, the General Motors Action Line of full-size pickups was the second generation of the C/K series lineup. In 1971, a refresh was applied that included a new front fascia, an eggcrate grille design, and additional cosmetic updates. This C10 pickup from 1972 was reportedly purchased in 2009 from its original owner. In approximately 2016, the body was repainted orange and white. Exterior features include a chrome front bumper, black and chrome beltline moldings, a full-width rear window, and a black rear bumper. The bed is coated with a spray-in liner and has chrome caps for the bedsides and tailgate.
Body-color 15-inch steel wheels with bowtie center caps and chrome trim rings are wrapped in tires with black sidewall lettering. Stopping power comes from disc brakes in the front.
The interior of the cab was replaced in 2016 and is furnished with a reupholstered black vinyl bench seat, which matches the door panels, dash pad, carpeting, and floor mats. Interior features operate as designed. Upgrades include a later-model steering wheel, a Kenwood AM/FM/CD head unit with USB input, and aftermarket Sony Xplod speakers in the doors.
Instrumentation comes in the form of a gear selection window, a 100-mph speedometer, and auxiliary gauges for the fuel level, voltage, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 4k miles, which the selling dealer believes to be 104k actual miles. True mileage on the chassis is unknown.
The replacement 400ci V8 was sourced from a 1974 vehicle and subsequently bored out to 406ci by Tri Star Engines in Baldwin, Wisconsin. The engine is dressed with a chrome-finished Edelbrock air cleaner. Overall mechanical condition is good, according to the selling dealer. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a column-shifted automatic transmission.
Photos showing the underside are available in the carousel.
The selling dealer charges a $100 documentation fee. The video below contains exterior, interior, and engine bay footage of the vehicle.

@Speculator1956 – Is the tailgate OEM? ...
Thank you for your interest - the tailgate was replaced when the truck was painted but the seller does not recall if it was replaced with an oem gate or aftermarket.
