Vehicle Story

This 1991 BMW 850i is one of 1,711 produced for its model year and comes finished in Laguna Green over a tan leather interior that provides bucket seating for four. It comes equipped with a sunroof, automatic climate control with air conditioning, power windows and mirrors, and an AM/FM radio with a tape player. Behind the BMW signature twin-kidney grille is a 5.0-liter V12 that channels its power to the road through a 4-speed automatic transmission and the rear wheels. Now available, this unmodified 40K-mile German grand touring car comes with a clean Carfax report and a clear title.

The first-generation BMW 8 Series was unveiled at the 1989 Frankfurt auto show as a competitor to the grand touring cars offered by BMW's rival European brands. This particular 850i comes dressed in Laguna Green and features pop-up headlights, fog lights and turn signals integrated into the front fascia, body-color mirror caps, a sunroof, black greenhouse trim and door handles, and quad square exhaust finishers below the rear bumper.

Silver seven-spoke wheels with BMW-branded center caps and Continental tires connect this E31 pillarless coupe to the pavement.

The cabin is outfitted in a two-tone combination of brown and tan that includes tan leather bucket seating for four, a two-tone dashboard, and matching door panels. Amenities range from automatic climate control with air conditioning and an AM/FM radio with a tape player to power windows and mirrors.

The four-spoke steering wheel is connected to a power-adjustable steering column and sits in front of a bank of instruments with a 7k-rpm tachometer, a 190-mph speedometer, and auxiliary gauges for the fuel level and coolant temperature. The digital odometer shows a readout of approximately 40K miles.

Under the hood is a naturally aspirated 5.0-liter V12 that generated 296 horsepower at 5,200 rpm and 332 lb-ft of torque at 4,100 rpm when new. Power is routed through a 4-speed automatic and the rear wheels.

Is there paint discoloration on the driver rear quarter panel in pics #4-5? Looks like staining? Any other paint issues? Thanks
