This open-cab 1928 Ford Model A pickup is powered by a rebuilt inline-4 engine paired with a 3-speed manual transmission. With recent maintenance including replacement of the clutch, alternator, and water pump, this pickup features upgrades such as LED brake lamps, replacement wood planks, wide whitewall tires, and aftermarket gauges. Finished in matte black over a black vinyl interior, this Model A is now offered by the selling dealer with a clear title.
The first Model A full-size Ford debuted for the 1928 model year and was available in a variety of body styles. This particular Model A pickup was repainted matte black and has an open cab design accented by lettering on the rocker panels and color-matched wood running boards with metal step plates. Replacement wooden planks surround the cargo area, which contains the fuel tank. Additional exterior features include front and rear turn signals, a radiator shell ornament, dual side mirrors, and LED brake lamps. The seller has provided images in the photo carousel illustrating portions of the build process.
Red wheels with chrome Ford-branded center caps are wrapped in Denman Super-Safety wide whitewall tires. The four-wheel drum brakes have been replaced; a recent suspension overhaul included the installation of new steering linkage, new kingpins, and a rebuilt steering box.
The interior is fitted with a reupholstered black vinyl two-seat bench along with a color-matched black dash and flooring material.
A trio of aftermarket gauges are positioned in the center of the dashboard. True mileage on the chassis is unknown.
The open engine bay houses a rebuilt inline-4 which has been upgraded with a newer greaseless water pump, a replacement alternator, and a new clutch. Power is fed to the rear wheels via a floor-shifted 3-speed manual transmission.
