This 1967 Chevrolet Camaro with RS equipment is a performance-built two-door hardtop powered by a big-block 454ci V8 mated to a Muncie M22 wide-ratio 4-speed manual transmission. This first-year Camaro received a mechanical overhaul complete with replacement pistons, rings, oil pump, and ignition system and rides on a set of staggered forged aluminum Center Line wheels. Finished in black over a black interior with Corbeau racing seats and a modern Sony audio system, this Camaro is now offered with build documentation and a clear Pennsylvania title in the seller’s name.
Introduced in the fall of 1966 for the 1967 model year, the Camaro muscle car rode on General Motors’ F-body platform and was available as a two-door hardtop or convertible. This Camaro hardtop from the initial model year has a rust-free body that was repainted black under prior ownership and has been garaged under the seller’s five-year ownership. The body features hideaway headlamps, a scooped hood, custom flared rear quarters, a trunk-mounted urethane spoiler, and dual rectangular exhaust outlets. Brightwork is in good condition for the bumpers, sideview mirror, window trim, and badging.
Center Line forged aluminum wheels are wrapped in staggered-sized rubber with good tread remaining.
The cabin is optioned with black Corbeau racing bucket seats and four-point safety harnesses, matched to the door panels, dash, and carpeting. Additional equipment includes a custom center console with integrated armrest and cup holders, an aftermarket steering wheel, and a Hurst shifter, a Sony AM/FM/CD player, and a trunk-mounted subwoofer box with dual subwoofers adjacent to a relocated battery. The seller notes that the radio fitment needs adjustment in the dash and the window seals need to be replaced.
Instrumentation includes the factory sweeping 120-mph speedometer, a fuel gauge, and auxiliary console-mounted gauges with an 8k-pm tachometer and readouts for oil pressure and coolant temperature. The cluster has a five-digit mechanical odometer, although actual mileage on the chassis is unknown.
The big-block 454ci V8 received a mechanical refresh complete with new pistons and rings, a new oil pump, timing set, cam button and locker, an MSD ignition system, and replacement freeze plugs. The main, rod, and cam bearings have been replaced, as well as the intake gaskets, push rods, and valve springs. Recent maintenance includes a tune-up and oil change under the seller’s ownership, and power is sent to the rear wheels via a Muncie M22 ultra-wide ratio 4-speed manual transmission.
Photos showing the underside are available in the carousel.
The sale includes receipts and documentation from the build. The seller has provided a series of video clips illustrating vehicle condition.
