This 1968 Chevrolet Camaro two-door hardtop with SS badging is a fully-refurbished sports coupe that rolls on a set of Rallye wheels with new BFGoodrich tires, harnessing power from a replacement big-block 396ci V8 paired with a 4-speed manual transmission. With handling upgrades including air shocks and traction bars, this F-body comes with a repainted rust-free body and a reupholstered interior with a Bluetooth-enabled audio system. Finished in yellow with dual black stripes over a black vinyl interior, this first-generation Camaro is now offered with spare parts, build receipts, and a clear Florida title in the seller’s name.
The Camaro rolled out on General Motors’ F-body platform beginning in the 1967 model year and received subtle updates in 1968 which included the introduction of Astro Ventilation, elimination of the front vent windows, the introduction of a revised grille, and the addition of side marker lights on the front and rear fenders. This 1968 Camaro is badged as an SS and is described as having a rust-free body that was repainted yellow and received new floor pans as part of the restoration. Features include a cowl induction hood, front and rear spoilers, replacement bumpers, and new badging. The seller notes that the chrome trim around the windows is scuffed up.
Silver-finished 15” Rallye wheels with bright center caps and trim rings are wrapped in new BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. Suspension handling is optimized through the use of air shocks and traction bars.
The interior is fitted with reupholstered black vinyl bucket seats split by a center console and color-matched to the door panels, dash, and carpeting. Appointments include a center console with woodgrain trim, tinted windows, and a radio with Bluetooth connectivity with replacement 6x9 speakers. The trunk is lined in a vinyl patterned mat.
Instrumentation includes a 120-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 68k miles, although true mileage on the chassis is unknown.
The replacement, period-correct 396ci V8 breathes through a K&N air filter and is dressed with chrome-finished valve covers and other bright hardware. Equipment includes a replacement fuel tank, fuel pump, alternator, carburetor, and high-performance clutch, and power is directed to the rear wheels via a console-shifted 4-speed manual transmission and a 12-bolt rear end.
Photos showing the underside are available in the carousel.
The sale includes build receipts, two extra wheels and tires, valve cover gaskets, fuel filters, a sending unit, and an original bumper.

@Alabama_slamma – An RS would have hideaway headlights and the backup lights below the bumper. An SS would have the Ice Cube Tray hood and four gauges below the ashtray at the end of the center consul. This is a plain Jane Camaro with a few up grades at best. ...
The car is represented as a re-creation in the opening paragraph, the headline and remaining of the story have been amended to clarify and avoid any confusion. Thank you
