This 1966 Ford Mustang convertible project car has been in the same family since 2016 and kept in heated storage. It comes equipped with front bucket seats, a floor-mounted automatic shifter, and air conditioning. Power is supplied by a 200ci I6 connected to a 3-speed automatic and rear-wheel drive. Finished in Wimbledon White with a black fabric convertible top over a dark red interior, this first-generation Mustang droptop comes with inspection certifications, an owner's manual, and a clear title.
As the first T in its VIN number indicates, this Mustang was built in Ford's Metuchen, New Jersey factory. Decoding its body buck tag reveals that it was originally configured with Wimbledon White paint. Exterior features include a slotted grille with a framed Mustang emblem, chrome front and rear bumpers, tri-bar pony badges on the front fenders, side moldings behind the doors, a luggage rack mounted on the trunk lid, and round reverse lights in the lower rear fascia. According to the seller, the black fabric convertible top has been stored in the down position. As the pictures in the photo gallery show, it is ripped and torn in several areas.
The car rolls on whitewall tires and a set of 14-inch steel wheels with red center caps.
The buck tag also indicates that this car rolled off of the assembly line with a dark red interior. That color scheme includes the carpeting, door panels, dashboard, and front bucket and rear bench seating. The cabin comes equipped with a three-spoke steering wheel, an aftermarket Mustang-branded radio with a digital display, a floor-mounted automatic shifter, a glove compartment, and air conditioning. As shown in one of the pictures, there is a tear in the backrest of the driver's seat. The trunk features a patterned mat and spare tire cover, but shows signs of rust.
Instrumentation consists of a 140-mph speedometer and gauges for the fuel level, oil pressure, amps, and coolant temperature. The seller states the odometer reads approximately 5K miles, but the seller notes that it has rolled and true mileage is unknown.
Under the hood is a naturally aspirated 200ci inline-six engine that produced 120 horsepower when new. It delivers its output to the road through a 3-speed automatic transmission and the rear wheels.
Undercarriage close-up photos are available in the carousel.
Inspection certifications and an owner's manual are included with the sale of the car.

@Perkidan – Is this car currently drivable and is it in running condition? If not, when was the last time it was driven on the road? ...
The car starts and drives. I drove it 3 days ago around my suburban neighborhood. It does need some work. I am not a mechanic so I can't say exactly what needs to be done. The brakes didn't seem all that effective to me. I didn't feel out of control by any means, but they weren't as responsive as I would have liked. It also stalled once going up the curb into my driveway when I was trying to park it.

@dharleyrider – Is there any rust or body cancer? ...
Hi, The only rust I see is in the pictures. I see a little bit on the inside of driver's door. I see some in the bed of the trunk. There is a pic of the undercarriage that looks to me like it has some corrosion. Other than those spots, I don't see or feel any rust. I've never heard the term "body cancer" for a car but I think it's interesting! I guess you could say the one pic with the corrosion is that? No other places that I can tell.
Is there any rust or body cancer?
