This 1973 Chevrolet Corvette convertible was previously owned by a collector for more than 30 years. In June of 1993, it was designated a Survivor by the Bloomington Gold Historic Judging Team for its level of preservation. It was showcased in Vette Magazine in February of 1995, the same year it received a body-off restoration. Exterior features include a body-color urethane front bumper, pop-up headlights, a domed cowl-induction hood, front fender vents, and a two-piece chrome rear bumper. The interior offers seating for two, manual windows, an AM/FM radio, and a tilt and telescoping steering column. Under the hood is an LS4 454ci V8 that delivers its power to the road through a 4-speed manual gearbox and the rear Rallye wheels. Finished in Blue-Green Metallic with a black soft top and a removable body-color hardtop over a black vinyl interior, this 19K-mile C3 Corvette is available now from a dealer and comes with its window sticker and build sheet, Bloomington Gold Survivor certification, a copy of the Vette Magazine it was featured in, and a clear Wisconsin title.
This Corvette is one of 4,943 convertibles produced for 1973. Like other 1973 Corvettes, it features a urethane piece in place of the previous model year's chrome bumper. The body is finished in Blue-Green and equipped with pop-up headlights, a cowl-induction hood, chrome rocker panel trim, an integrated rear spoiler, a two-piece chrome rear bumper, and dual rectangular exhaust finishers. It comes with a black fabric soft top as well as a body-color removable hardtop with a glass rear window.
The car rides on a set of 15-inch Rallye wheels with derby-style center caps and tires with black sidewall lettering.
The two-seater cockpit is furnished with a pair of black vinyl bucket seats and matching carpeting, door panels, and dashboard. Equipment includes manual windows, a center console, a tilt and telescoping steering column, an AM/FM radio, and lockable rear storage.
Instrumentation consists of a 160-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and a bank of gauges on the center stack with readouts for the fuel level, water temperature, time, oil pressure, and battery charge. The five-digit odometer shows 19,858 miles.
As its build sheet indicates, this Corvette is powered by an LS4 Turbo-Jet 454ci V8, which received a factory rating of 275 net horsepower. That sends its output to the pavement through a close-ratio 4-speed manual transmission and a performance rear axle ratio.
Power brakes help bring the car to a stop. Additional photos of the undercarriage are available in the picture gallery to the right.
The car's window sticker and build sheet, Bloomington Gold Survivor certification, and a copy of the Vette Magazine it was featured in are included with the sale. The selling dealer charges a $100 dealership service fee in addition to the winning bid price.

@philneely – Is this Vette completely drivable, road worthy? Does it need any work? ...
Thank you for your interest - yes it is driveable and road worthy. We would only suggest a set of new tires prior to any long distance/highway driving as the tires are likely past the 6-7 year mark. Other than that, she's ready for shows, cruise nights, or ice cream runs every night of the week. Best of luck!

@bpala – Nice looking '73! Does everything work (gauges, radio, wipers, etc.)? Are there any mechanical items that would need to be addressed to drive this car to Colorado (weather permitting of course) and how old are the tires? Any plans for a startup or driving video? ...
Thank you for your interest! Here is a link to the video that we have currently: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DN2kyB4UTKU This is a very nice running and driving car, as for driving it from WI to CO I'm sure it would do ok, but certainly in a warmer month with less snow, lol. We would advise a new set of tires prior to driving it that far, as I'm sure these are beyond the 6-7 year old mark, although they have few miles and look new. As far as we know all gauges, radio, and wipers also work as they should. This car has been pampered and is an extremely nice example of a '73 454 Convertible. Please let us know if you have any further questions, and best of luck in the auction.
