This 1964 Dodge Dart GT two-door hardtop features new upholstery and a 225ci slant-6 engine paired with a push-button 3-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission. Finished in ivory over a gray and brown vinyl interior, this third-generation Dart is now offered by the selling dealer with a clear California title.
The Dart model occupied the full-size vehicle slot in the Dodge lineup when it first launched for the 1960 model year. Later, it became a midsize car, then a compact beginning in 1963. Riding on the A-body platform by that time, the Dart shared a suspension with the Valiant and was available as a sedan, coupe, convertible, and station wagon. This 1964 Dart two-door hardtop is stock in configuration and wears an ivory exterior finish and brightwork for the headlight rings, bumpers, badging, GT medallions, and window trim.
Steel 13-inch wheels with polished Dart-branded covers are wrapped in Milestar Touring SLE whitewall tires.
The interior has been upholstered with two-tone gray and brown fold-forward bucket seats up front and a bench in the rear, with matching colors used for the door panels, dash, and carpeting. Amenities include a push-button radio and Dart GT badging on the door panels.
Instrumentation is housed within an aluminum trim bezel and includes a 110-mph speedometer along with gauges for the fuel level, coolant temperature, and voltage. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 39K miles, although true mileage on the chassis is unknown.
The 225ci slant-6 was rated at 145 horsepower when new. Output is sent to the rear wheels via a push-button 3-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission.
