This 1987 Porsche 930 Turbo cabriolet is a 64,114-original-kilometer slant-nose conversion with a widebody package and 18-inch HRE wheels. It draws power from a K27-turbocharged 3.3-liter flat-6 mated to a 4-speed manual gearbox and a limited-slip differential. This 930 offers seating for four and features such as embroidered floor mats, a Blaupunkt stereo, air conditioning, and more. Finished in Guards Red with a black canvas retractable top over a tan leather interior, this 930 is now offered by a Massachusetts dealership with a convertible boot, a tonneau cover, two sets of custom floor mats, service records, an air compressor, a tool kit, a clean Carfax report, and a clear Massachusetts title.
In the mid-1970s, the Porsche 930 model was introduced on the G-series platform. This European-spec 930 widebody convertible from 1987 received a slant-nose conversion. The exterior is finished in Guards Red and features a black canvas retractable top and black accents for the bumpers, door handles, window trim, and other moldings. Equipment includes boxed rocker panels, fog lamps, a rear spoiler, and a Borla stainless-steel exhaust system with dual outlets.
Chrome 18-inch HRE wheels are wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport tires. Braking is handled by cross-drilled rotors and black Porsche-branded calipers.
The 2+2 interior is furnished with tan leather power-operated bucket seats, matched to the door panels, shift boot, and carpeting, while the dash and steering wheel are finished in black. The Blaupunkt AM/FM/cassette radio features a graphic equalizer. Additional amenities include Porsche-branded floor mats, air conditioning, billet aluminum pedals, and fold-down rear seats. The seller notes that the interior finishes are in good condition throughout with no rips, tears, or cracks.
Instrumentation consists of a central 7k-rpm tachometer and an inset boost gauge, along with a 300-kph speedometer and auxiliary gauges for the fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and more. The six-digit mechanical odometer reads 64,114 kilometers (approximately 39,800 miles), which the seller states is an accurate figure.
The rear-mounted 3.3-liter flat-6 features a K27 turbocharger, an upgraded intercooler, stainless-steel headers, and a K&N air cleaner. The motor is described as being well-maintained with optimal driving dynamics and power delivery per the seller, and power is fed to the rear wheels via a 4-speed manual gearbox and a limited-slip differential.
Additional photos showing the underside are available in the picture gallery to the right.
The Carfax report shows a history free of accidents or damage. There is a mileage inconsistency dated November of 2003. The vehicle passed a Massachusetts state safety inspection in June 2019 at 63k miles. A convertible boot, a tonneau cover, two sets of custom floor mats, an air compressor, a tool kit, and service records are included with the sale of the car.

@johnblacky – Hello, I have the following questions about the vehicle. Is there an oil cooler installed in the front spoiler and why is it protruding so far? Why aren't the headlights flush with the fenders, is there damage or do they just need to be readjusted? Why does the car have a European speedometer. Is it a European version? Apart from the two fenders, what modifications have been made and do all the instruments work properly? LG ...
Yes on the oil cooler, It is done exactly the same as the factory car. Not sure on the question regarding protruding., the kit for the front is fitted properly as instructed . The headlights need to be adjusted , will be resolved before shipping, no damage, never in an accident.. No other modifications except the wheels, everything works properly and not sure on the European Speedometer.. Regarding the speedometer etc, the car was originally delivered to Moore Motors in PA and the earliest service record I have is from October 1988. These service records are hand written on the letterhead of a Porsche specialist and he did not write the mileage on every invoice. He did however note the mileage as 25,000 kilometers in March of 1995 and he appears to be the only person doing service on the car up to that point. There is no notation on any invoice of a speedometer swap from Miles to Kilometers. This is all the information that I have . Thanks

@aquamangm – Observations (not criticisms): - Not a factory slantnose, who / where / when converted? Does paint on slant parts match factory on rest of body? Is it metal? - Radiator dirty, is it clogged. - Radiator gasket loose, may need replacement. - White oxidation on fan and engine parts. So it's been damp. - Underside dirty, some rust. - Exhaust tip corroded. - Steering wheel leather worn thru black (gauges photo). - Miles/dates sharpie on bodywork, who does that?! - Closeup of pic of turbo badge shows car wash scratches, probably whole car needs buffed out. - See factory tire tag: current not factory wheel & tire sizes. Are original wheels included ? ...
As noted, it is an aftermarket slantnose and it was converted before the current owner bought the car. It is metal and the paint match is exceptionally good. I saw a duplicate of this car at Porsche Burlington a month ago except it was a factory slantnose and was offered at close to $400K. This is not that car, this car is a driver with no pretense of it being anything else. The owners have enjoyed driving the car and there are definitely items, as you have noted, that show it to be just that . I have seen many people mark their oil or service dates in the same way. I don't know why they do that but it is part of this cars history. The car has been kept in a heated garage for the past 15 years at least so we are not aware of any "damp" issues at all. All the other items you list are consistent with what you would normally find on a car that is used, no excuses; we would rather present a vehicle as it is and not put band aids on certain areas to hide any flaws. The wheels on the car are the only wheels we have . Thanks

@JMS935 – This isn’t a European spec with the VIN it has, which means it was most likely in Europe at one point in its life due to the odometer gauge having been swapped out. ...
