This no reserve 1971 Volkswagen Super Beetle is finished in Audi Nardo Grey over black vinyl interior. Powered by a recently rebuilt 1835cc engine, power is sent to the rear wheels via a 4-speed manual transmission. New running boards, clutch, Enkei wheels, seats, and carpets were installed during the six year restoration that was recently completed. Now offered with records from the last 8 years of ownership, this 1971 Super Beetle is now offered with on a clear California title in the sellers name.
Finished in Audi Nardo Grey, the seller notes the repair of dents on front fenders and hood along with having new rear fenders installed during the recent repaint. Aftermarket front and rear bumpers have been finished in satin black, along with the headlight trim rings. The seller states that the body is rust free but there is a small dent on the roof a scuff on the left front fender, fan blower and the engine cover latch tab is broken, all are shown in the gallery.
15" Enkei 477 Compe wheels in gunmetal are wrappedin Yokohama Avid ENVigor tires measuring 195/65 on all four corners. Braking is provided by discs up front and drums in the rear.
The interior features aftermarket racing bucket seats upholstered in black vinyl up front with matching rear seats, door panels, and black carpeting and the ceiling is lined with Dynamat Xtreme sound deadening material. The seller states that the original interior components are included in the sale and shown in the gallery.
Instrumentation is set behind a 4-spoke, black leather wrapped wheel and includes a 90-mph speedometer and fuel gauge. The five-digit odometer reads 97k, 200 of which have been added by the seller during 8 years of ownership.
An rebuilt air-cooled 1835cc engine was installed during the restoration and features include a dual-barrel carburetor, Beru ignition coil, and aluminum air cleaner. A new clutch for the 4-speed transmission was installed during the restoration. The seller states there are no service records but there are photos available of the restoration process.
