This 1955 Jaguar XK140 is a British-built roadster that underwent both mechanical and cosmetic restoration, powered by a numbers-matching 3.4-liter inline-6 coupled with a 4-speed manual transmission. This XK140 was reportedly sold initially in New York to a Jaguar distributor, was treated to a frame-off refurbishment in 2008, and upgraded with a stainless-steel exhaust system. Finished in maroon with a black canvas retractable top over a black leather interior, this XK140 is now offered by an Illinois dealership with a clear title.
The XK140 was a successor to the earlier XK120 and was offered as a sports car in roadster and coupe body styles. This XK140 was built in the OTS (open two-seater) configuration and was reportedly originally delivered to a Jaguar distributor in New York. The car was subjected to a frame-off restoration in 2008, repainted maroon, and has been garage-kept since then. The body has a two-piece windshield, rear fender skirts, front and rear bumper overriders, and dual polished exhaust outlets. A replacement black retractable top with removable canvas and plastic side curtains covers the passenger compartment.
Body-colored 16-inch wheels with polished hubcaps are wrapped in black-sidewall tires. The steering system uses a rack and pinion setup and the suspension leverages telescopic shock absorbers.
The interior features reupholstered black leather seating matched to the door panels, dash, and carpeting. The trunk contains a Sprint Classic spare tire on a body-color wheel.
Smiths-branded instrumentation is held in a center-dash panel and includes a 140-mph speedometer, a reverse-sweep 6k-rpm tachometer with an inset analog clock, and auxiliary gauges for the voltage, fuel level, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 55k miles.
The numbers-matching 3.4-liter DOHC inline-six engine sits in a refinished engine bay and is connected to a stainless-steel exhaust system. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a numbers-matching 4-speed manual transmission.

@Moparman123 – Has there been any compression checks? Leaks? Electrical Fan for radiator? ...
No on the compression test, just haven't done one as the car runs and drives well, No on the electric fan and no leaks of any significance. Thanks
