This 1970 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 two-door coupe is powered by its original, rebuilt 350ci V8 paired with the original Muncie M-21 4-speed manual transmission, according to the selling dealer. Equipment includes an LT-1 solid-lifter camshaft, Edelbrock valve springs and rocker arms, and a 650-cfm Holley Double Pumper carburetor with an electric choke as well as new BFGoodrich tires, new suspension and brake parts, and the original rebuilt water pump, alternator, starter, and more. Refinished in Cranberry Red with black accent striping over a black cloth and vinyl interior with its reportedly original seat covers, door panels, and dash pad, this Camaro is now offered by an Ohio dealership with the original carpeting, spare tire, and jack assembly and a clear title.
This second-generation Camaro represents one of 8,733 Z28s made for the 1970 model year. According to the seller, this car was stored for 23 years and was Citrus Green before being repainted Cranberry Red in the mid-1980s. It features black rally stripes, a chin spoiler, a blacked-out front grille, a rear deck spoiler, Z28 badges, and a new aluminum exhaust system with correct hangers. Brightwork is comprised of chrome bumpers, rocker panel accents, and additional trim.
The reportedly original five-spoke wheels with reproduction trim rings and center caps are wrapped in new BFGoodrich Radial T/A raised-white-letter tires.
The black cloth and vinyl interior is fitted with its reportedly original seat assemblies and seat covers, door panels, and dash pad as well as new carpeting. Amenities include the factory Hurst shifter with lockout and a push-button radio.
Instrumentation includes a 150-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, a clock, and readouts for the coolant temperature, fuel level, and more. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 69K miles, but true mileage is unknown.
The 350ci V8 is reportedly original to the car and has been rebuilt. It comes equipped with its original crankshaft, rods, and pistons along with an LT-1 solid-lifter camshaft, stainless valves with Edelbrock valve springs and rocker arms, and a 650-cfm Holley Double Pumper carburetor with an electric choke. Rebuilt original items include the radiator, water pump, alternator, and starter. The reportedly original distributor has been converted to run electronic Petronix hardware. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a Muncie M21 4-speed manual transmission, which the selling dealer states is original. The original front brake calipers have been rebuilt and new suspension components have been added. New brake components include the booster and master cylinder.
The original carpeting, spare tire, and jack assembly are included with the sale of the car. The selling dealer charges a $150 documentation fee.
