Vehicle Story

This 1965 Ford Mustang Fastback is finished in Raven Black over a black vinyl interior.  Power is supplied by a modified  5.0-liter HO V8 repurposed from a 1983 Mustang GT mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission. Upgrades include Vintage Air A/C, intake manifold, ignition system, Flowmaster exhaust, and brakes. Recent service one month ago included an oil change, new battery, and new tires.  With the seller adding 1k miles in 3 years of ownership, this Fastback is now offered with service records from the seller's tenure and a clear Louisiana title in the seller’s name.

Finished in Raven Black, a complete respray was performed within the last several years. Per the seller, the car underwent a recent paint correction and respray of the clear coat. Additionally, a Scott Drake hood was added and color-matched after the seller acquired the car. Additional exterior modifications include a Mustang GT style front grille with fog lights, vented quarter window covers and GT style dual exhaust tips. The seller notes that the driver's side door is in need of adjustment to line up flush with the body lines, photos are shown in the gallery

Polished 5-spoke American Racing 17” wheels are featured all around with new Ironman iMove Gen 2 tires added one month ago, measuring 235/45 in the front and 245/45 in the rear. The brakes were upgraded with cross slotted and drilled disc brakes on the front and new drums in the rear.

The interior features a 2+2 configuration with black vinyl bucket seats in the front and a factory fold-down seat in the rear. The carpet, door panels, and headliner are all finished to match, as well as the dash pad and package tray. Features include a radio, under-dash A/C unit and floor-mounted shifter for the automatic transmission.

Behind the factory three-spoke, black steering wheel sits a horizontal speedometer, measuring speeds up to 120-mph. Ancillary gauges sit alongside the speedometer with readings for fuel and engine temperature. An aftermarket tachometer was installed under the dash, next to the A/C vents. True mileage is unknown, however, 1k miles have been added by the seller in the past 3 years of ownership.

The fastback is powered by a 5.0-liter HO V8 engine sourced from a 1983 Mustang GT.  Upgrades include a new Holley racing fuel pump, an Edelbrock intake, a 4-barrel carburetor, an MSD ignition with Street Fire wires, a new Champion aluminum radiator, and new fuel tank and fuel lines have also been installed. Longtube headers flow into a new dual exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers. Lizard Skin coating was also been applied in the engine bay and underside. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 4-speed automatic transmission.

Lizard Skin underbody coating was applied to the undercarriage and engine bay during the seller’s tenure.  New Flowmaster exhaust system has been installed. Undercarriage photos show the Mustang to be solid and free of corrosion or rust.

Receipts and documentation from the current owner's tenure are included. Recent service work includes an oil change, new battery, and new tires installed less than one month ago.

@Ab461300 – Is that rino line style coating in the the engine bay and underside of car? Looks like the original stamped vin on the driver side has been covered in it. Can it it still be seen? ...

Lining is through tight engine bay and undercarriage. Are you referring to the front inner fender stamping of vin?
