1953 GMC 5-Window Pick Up

This rust-free 1953 GMC 5-Window Pickup is powered by a rebuilt 270ci GMC inline 6-cylinder engine backed by a 4-speed manual transmission. Features include a rebuilt front end, a push-button AM radio, a mahogany wood bed, and a newer radiator and rear springs. This two-tone black and gray classic GMC truck with a gray and cream interior is available now and comes with a clear California title from the selling dealer.

The body is refinished in two-tone black and gray. Emblems, door handles, and chrome and stainless trim are present. A chrome front bumper with a matching 4-bar grille and GMC emblem can be found in the front. Driver- and passenger-side mirrors have been added. The step-side bed contains a mahogany wood floor with stainless rails. An embossed tailgate held in place with vinyl-covered chain locks, dual taillights with blue dots, and a chrome bumper is at the rear.

A set of black steel wheels fitted with GMC-branded chrome hub caps are wrapped in Michelin LTX A/S radial tires.

The interior is furnished with a cream bench seat with gray lap belts. The interior door panel metal has been refinished in body-color gray with gray upper door panel covers. Chrome manual window and exit handles are present.

The steel dashboard is refinished in gray to match the exterior and houses two round gauge panels with newer voltage, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level gauges. The newer 90-mph speedometer has a 5-digit odometer that shows 2,441 miles, but true mileage is unknown. The steering column is equipped with an aftermarket turn signal switch and a black VDO 8K-rpm tachometer and connected to a black 3-spoke steering wheel with a silver GMC horn button. The GMC-branded radio is located in the center of the dashboard with a heater blower located below. A ribbed rubber mat covers the floor and surrounds the base of the 4-speed manual shifter.

The 270ci GMC inline 6-cylinder engine has been rebuilt and has approximately 2,500 post-rebuild miles on it, according to the selling dealer. It comes connected to a newer radiator, a two-barrel downdraft carburetor, cast iron exhaust manifolds, and an enclosed air cleaner. Power is sent through a 4-speed manual transmission with a "granny gear."

The front end has been rebuilt and the rear end is fitted with newer leaf springs. The rear axle has 3:55 gearing. A full-length exhaust exits underneath the tailgate.
