1955 Chevrolet 3100

This 1955 Chevrolet Second Series 3100 pickup is powered by a 350ci V8 Chevrolet engine backed by a Turbo-Hydramatic 350 automatic transmission. Features include power steering and brakes, a Mustang II-style front end with tubular control arms, Auto Meter gauges, an aftermarket JVC stereo, and a fuel door located in the wood-slat cargo bed floor. This Dark Green Metallic Chevrolet 3100 truck with a tan and green cloth and vinyl interior is available now from a dealer and comes with a clear title from the dealer.  

The body is refinished in Dark Green Metallic with chrome headlight rings and door handles. A chrome mirror is mounted at the top of the driver and passenger doors. A color-matched grille and chrome bumper can be found in front. The floor of the bed is lined with wood planks and body-color metal runners and features a rear-mounted fuel door. A chrome bumper with round chrome-ringed taillights and dual exhaust outlets are in the rear.

Aftermarket seven-hole 15-inch chrome wheels are fitted with Cooper Cobra Radial G/T raised-white-letter tires.

The interior of the cab, including the door panels, was painted in Dark Green Metallic to match the exterior. A cloth green headliner has been installed. The cabin comes furnished with a tan vinyl and green cloth split bench seat with a fold-down center armrest. Black carpeting covers the floor of the cab along with black matching floor mats.

The dashboard is refinished in Dark Green Metallic and houses an aluminum panel fitted with Auto Meter gauges consisting of a 120-mph speedometer with a digital odometer as well as readouts for the fuel level, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and voltage. An aftermarket chrome tilt steering column is topped with a late-model four-spoke Chevrolet steering wheel. A JVC radio and CD player is installed in the center of the dash just below the windshield wiper switch. The dealer states that it powers up, but they are uncertain if the antenna works.

The original engine has been replaced with a 350ci Chevrolet V8 that is backed by a 3-speed Turbo-Hydramatic 350 automatic transmission. An Edelbrock intake, a Holley carburetor with electric choke, aluminum valve covers, a double-stacked open-element air cleaner, an Interstate battery with a master electrical cut-off, and a body-color radiator are present.

The front end features a Mustang II-style setup with tubular upper control arms. A full-length dual exhaust system is present. A dual-circuit power brake master cylinder, mounted underneath the cab on the frame, provides stopping power for the brakes. An aftermarket fuel tank is mounted at the rear under the bed floor.
