This 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air two-door hardtop was restored two years ago and has only covered 234 miles since then. It features manual steering and brakes, chrome bumpers and trim, rear fender skirts, and red wheels with chrome covers set inside of Goodyear whitewall tires. Power from the 265ci V8 is delivered to the road through a 2-speed Powerglide automatic transmission. Available now from an Indiana dealership, this two-tone Shoreline Beige and Red Bel Air comes with a clear title.
The body is refinished in two-tone Shoreline Beige over Red accented with chrome and stainless hardware that includes the bumpers, trim, and emblems. The front end features bumper guards, round headlights, separate turn signals, an airplane hood ornament, and a tinted windshield brow bar. The rear end also has bumper guards as well as triangular taillights, emblems, trim, and dual exhaust outlets. The door handles and the gas door are equipped with accessory scratch guards.
A set of red 15-inch wheels wear full wheel covers and Goodyear Super Cushion whitewall bias-ply tires. Accessory wheel skirts with rock guards at the front edge partially cover the rear wheels.
The interior is furnished with red carpeting, a beige headliner, two-tone red and beige front and rear bench seats, and color-coordinated door panels. The red dashboard houses the gauges, an aftermarket AM/FM radio, and the controls for the headlights, windshield wipers, ignition, and climate system. A clock and speaker grill are on the far right. The red steering column is connected to a matching three-spoke steering wheel with a full horn ring. The trunk interior and lid are painted to match the exterior's Shoreline Beige and the trunk comes with a rubber floor mat and a jack with an instructions decal. A red 15-inch spare wheel is wrapped with a bias-ply tire that has its original sticker.
Instrumentation consists of a gear selection indicator, a 110-mph speedometer, and gauges for the coolant temperature and fuel level. The odometer reads 234 miles, which reflects the mileage put on the car after its restoration was completed.
The original engine has been replaced with an orange 265ci Chevrolet V8 that features "Chevrolet" script valve covers and an oil bath air cleaner, and generates a reported 162 horsepower. Power is sent to the road through a 2-speed Powerglide automatic transmission. Additional hardware includes a Delco tar-top battery, a single-circuit manual brake master cylinder, an accessory oil filter, and a radiator tag.
The frame and suspension components are refinished in matte black; the ribbed floor panels are coated in red. Full-length dual exhausts and a silver gas tank are visible underneath the car. Additional photos of the undercarriage can be found in the carousel to the right.
