This custom 1954 Buick Special was built by Oz Kustoms and is powered by a fuel-injected 350ci Chevrolet V8 mated to a 350 transmission. Custom features include frenched headlights and antennas, shaved door handles and trim, a filled and smoothed dashboard, custom paint with accent scallops, a five speaker stereo system, power steering, power brakes, and air ride suspension. This House of Kolor Kandy Tangerine Buick Special with a pearl white vinyl interior is available now with the Car Kulture Deluxe magazine it was featured in and a clear title.
The highly modified custom body is refinished in House Of Kolor Kandy Tangerine over a Gamma Gold base coat with scalloped accent graphics. The body has several custom touches including a removed-hardtop roadster conversion, a 4-inch chopped windshield, frenched headlights and antennas, and shaved door handles, trunk, and side trim. A set of four 1955 Lincoln taillights have been stacked and added in custom frenched housings in the rear. A chrome 1954 Buick bumper is mounted below the chrome front grille and surround. The chrome rear bumper is from a 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air and features a modified 1953 Kaiser license plate guard.
A set of chrome 15-inch wire wheels with custom center bullets wear whitewall Coker American Classic whitewall radials.
The custom interior was redone two years ago and comes furnished with vinyl pearl white pleated upholstery on the doors as well as on the front and rear seats. A matching white full-length waterfall-style center console separates the front and rear seats. Black carpet covers the floorboard. The manual window cranks and exit and vent window handles are chrome.
The dashboard has been modified to accept a set of round Classic Instruments gauges that include readouts for the fuel, oil, temperature, and voltage along with a 120-mph speedometer. It is smoothed, filled, and painted gloss Kandy Tangerine with scallops to match the exterior. A Kandy Tangerine aftermarket tilt steering column is topped with a white 1954 Buick steering wheel that has a chrome horn ring. Custom teardrop white Lucite knobs are mounted to the tilt and turn signal levers. An aftermarket Alpine stereo head unit powering a five-speaker system with two subwoofers is mounted in the center console along with a chrome aftermarket automatic transmission shifter topped with a matching white Lucite teardrop knob. A padded hinged armrest covering a storage compartment completes the console.
The original engine has been replaced with a 350ci Chevrolet V8 mated to a 350 Turbo-Hydramatic transmission. A Holley Sniper fuel injection system, a polished intake, aluminum valve covers, an open-element air cleaner, stainless exhaust manifolds, and a chrome alternator, water pump, and pulleys are present. A dual-circuit power brake master cylinder with a chrome power booster provides stopping power to the front disc and rear drum brakes. The firewall, under-hood area, and inner fenders are smoothed and painted to match the exterior.
A Camaro independent front suspension clip has been added along with steel control arms and disc brakes. The rear axle has drum brakes from a Camaro. Adjustable air ride suspension has been added front and rear. The seller states that new shocks, hoses, and airbags have been installed.
The Car Kulture Deluxe magazine this car was featured in is included with the sale of the vehicle.

Hi Steve , The small green light are for the turn indicators the red light is for your high beam. There is no shift indicator but the gears are simple to find I've never had a problem finding the correct gear.. The two chrome pieces on the deck lid are antennas and the controls and gauges are located in the console under the cover. Please let me know if you have any other questions. Good luck Victor
