Vehicle Story

This 1985 Chevrolet C10 pickup is finished in red with black racing stripe over a custom black and red interior. Powered by a professionally built 383ci V8 Stroker engine, power is sent to the wheels through a 4-speed Muncie transmission. Owned for 7 years by the seller, the C10 shows over 49K miles, but true mileage is unknown. 10K miles have been added by the seller, 2K of which is since the new engine was installed. This Chevy C10 pickup is now offered with a CARFAX report as well as records from its recent restoration, an engine dyno sheet, and an Ohio title in the sellers’ name.

The truck has was refinished in Bright Red approximately 18 months ago and features a single matte black vinyl racing stripe down the hood. The seals for the windshield and rear glass were replaced prior to being refinished. The factory grille is finished in silver, equipped with stacked halogen headlights and a black Chevrolet bowtie emblem. Additional exterior features include an aftermarket chrome rear bumper, as well as a Tonneau cover and Bedliner. The CARFAX report shows no records accidents or damage

The truck is equipped with American Racing Torque Thrust wheels with brushed lip, black spokes, and polished center caps. Mastercraft Avenger GT white letter radial tires measuring 275/60 are equipped on all four corners, installed approximately 5 years and 4k miles ago. Braking is handled by power-assisted discs in the front and drums in the rear. The suspension has been upgraded with front and rear sway bars as well as rear traction bars and lowering springs all around.

The interior features a recently reupholstered black vinyl bench seat with red inserts. The black door panels feature matching red inserts around the armrest as well as switches for the power windows. The original black carpeting surrounds a polished Hurst shifter mounted to the transmission tunnel, while the two-tone theme carries into the dash with the upper dash pad upholstered in black while the lower metal housing is painted in red to match the exterior.

The factory steering wheel has been replaced with a 3-spoke billet unit with black rim, mounted to the original column. Factory instrumentation includes an 85mph speedometer, and ancillary gauges for fuel, oil, temperature, and voltage. An aftermarket Bosch 8k tachometer has been mounted to the steering column. The odometer currently shows 47K mile, but both the title and CARFAX indicate the actual mileage is unknown. In 7 years of ownership, the seller has added 10k miles.

The truck is powered by a 383ci V8 Stroker engine from Blueprint Engines, installed 2k miles ago. Its documented with a dyno test showing peak power at 444 horsepower and 469 lb-ft of torque at the crank and comes with a book containing all the engine components and specs. Power is sent to the wheels through a 4-speed Muncie transmission through a recently serviced Yukon Posi-track rear end with 3.73 gears. Longtube headers flow into a dual exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers and side exit tips behind the rear wheels.

Additional underbody photos can be viewed in the gallery.

All receipts from work performed during the seller's ownership are included in the sale in addition to a fitted car cover, the original wheels, and the engine spec book. Located in Shiloh, Ohio, this 1985 C10 is offered for sale with a CARFAX report on an Ohio title in the seller's name.
