This 1967 Volkswagen Beetle received a body-off restoration in 2015 under previous ownership that involved the body being repainted, the floor pans being replaced, and the installation of new 15-inch wheels and tires as well as a roof basket and a lowered suspension. Inside, it was furnished with a new headliner and upholstery, modern front bucket seats, and an aftermarket stereo. The 2,027-cc flat-4 engine was fitted with dual downdraft carburetors and a 12-volt electrical system and connected to a 4-speed manual transmission. Finished in Zenith Blue over a black interior, this classic VW is available now and comes with a photo album documenting its restoration and a clear Texas title.
During the restoration process, the body was repainted in Zenith Blue and equipped with a roof basket and a new antenna, mirrors, and turn signals. Other features include updated headlights, auxiliary front lighting, and black running boards. Brightwork highlights the overrider bumpers, greenhouse glass, door handles, rear fender stone guards, dual exhaust outlets, and body trim.
The car sits on a lowered suspension and a set of 15-inch CIP1 wheels wrapped in radial tires.
The reupholstered cabin features newer furnishings that include the cream headliner, black carpeting and pleated door cards, black modern front bucket seats, and the black rear bench seat. It comes equipped with manual crank windows, metal and rubber pedals, a cream two-spoke steering wheel, a front center console that houses the manual shifter and a pair of cup holders, an aftermarket vintage-style AM/FM stereo, and a black passenger grab handle above the glove compartment.
Instrumentation in the body-color dashboard consists of a 90-mph speedometer and a fuel gauge. The five-digit odometer shows a reading of 88K miles, but true mileage is unknown.
Under the rear engine cover is a reportedly performance-built 2,027-cc flat-4 equipped with dual downdraft carburetors and open-element air filters, a 12-volt electrical system, and a canister-style PerTronix Flame-Thrower ignition coil. According to the seller, the transmission is an upgraded 4-speed manual gearbox.
As part of the body-off restoration, the floor pans, luggage area, heater channel hardware, and a rear bumper mount were replaced. In addition, the frame was degreased and cleaned. Additional photos of the underbody are located in the picture gallery to the right.
A photo album showing the stages of the restoration process is included with the sale of the car.

Pretty special! Gorgeous car!
Hi-nice build. Were the underside shots taken recently or just after restoration? Any issues with car, and any running videos? Thanks

Beautiful restoration and color with powerful engine. I have a ‘67 and prefer the low back seat, but this is very well done. Curious if freeway flywheel installed allowing for lower RPM’s at higher speeds? If not this would be a great add on for new owner. Should bring good money and be a great daily or weekend driver.
